Guests report overwhelmingly negative experiences at The Grant Street Inn, citing rude staff, broken amenities, and a generally poorly maintained property. Concerns regarding noise levels, inadequate service, and unresolved issues were repeatedly raised. The hotel’s location is a highlight, but overshadowed by significant problems.

This place has been the most awful experience we’ve ever had at a hotel. My husband and I were there with our 3 small kids for a wedding which was inside the hotel. When we got there I talk to the guy at the desk, smiled and asked how he was. He was so unfriendly and barely responded. I asked him for the pack n play we were promised when booking and said they don’t have those. We eventually got checked in and went down to get a cart. The doors are so hard to push open because they are broken. Mind you, this hotel looks pretty newly built. Our bed was broken and it wasn’t a great night of sleep. When I went down to talk to the manager, Linda, she said she will send someone up. The maintenance guy got there and was very nice. He agreed it was broken. When I followed up she was so mean and said nothing is wrong with the bed and that they’ve gotten “so many” complaints about our kids running in the hallway at night, which is a complete lie because they were asleep. They were running during the day I explained and apologized for it. She complained again to me later about our kids running around, but we were gone the entire morning so that was impossible. Linda also said “they can run as much as they want during the day”. Next, my husband had to shut the tv off by the button because the remote was broken. The TV came crashing down and I had to talk to Linda again. She started yelling at me saying that we ripped it off the wall on purpose. Tiana was another front desk puppet of Linda and she started saying I was a liar. It was all so bizarre. I was embarrassed, but so confused. We ended up getting an Air bnb and leaving because I knew this wasn’t going to work out. I told them we were leaving and if there was anyway we could get any money back for the next 3 days. Linda said absolutely not, which I did understand. During the time I was talking with Linda, the front desk girl, Tiana, was laughing at me and rolling her eyes. It was incredibly rude. Now, day before wedding. I walked in to say hi to the bride and they were setting up. As I was up there, Linda came up and said they are being way too loud and she was locking the doors until the wedding day. I should mention that the people in the room being “loud” was the bride, her mom and grandma. It was ridiculous. On the wedding day, someone tried checking in and I happened to be standing around the corner. They messed up her room and were refusing to do anything about it other than a 10% discount. Then that same front desk guy told this family that they the wedding guests are awful and pointed at me said that I “threw a TV off the wall”. I told the wedding guest that wasn’t true. He started arguing again and said I threatened him and called the police on me! All in all, this hotel is built so poorly. There is hanging wires in the middle of the hallway, paper thin walls, broken doors, etc. The pool was gross and green. It was so bad that I wouldn’t even let my kids swim in it. I heard other guests complain about this as well. The workers there are truly awful people and extremely rude. I have never had customer service so poor in my life! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This place is absolutely not kid friendly or even people friendly. If anyone tries to dispute this, I have pictures and videos of almost everything I noted above.

Never experience such rude service in my entire life at a hotel. They also didnt explain to me that I would be charged prior to check in - which should ABSOLUTELY be explained at the forefront considering every other hot in america doesnt charge until you check in. Its completely misleading and the employees don't seem to care and are extremely rude. Most terrible booking experience I have ever had. Not at all looking forward to staying here.

The rooms are very spacious, and the location is wonderful. However, if you’re a light sleeper like I am, be aware that the walls are quite thin. We stayed in room 104 and could clearly hear the TV and conversations from room 102, as well as significant noise from the hallway. I ultimately had to purchase noise-canceling headphones to sleep comfortably. Despite the noise, the stay was still enjoyable, just be sure to come prepared if you’re sensitive to sound.

The floors are loud and the doors don’t soft close. So, you hear everyone walking down the hall and every door shut. That’s the bad part. The good parts are the location, the room sizes, and did I mention the location? This is also not a party hotel, which is great for the weary traveler. But if you are a light sleeper (and my wife is), it may be a little rough.

Location is great, right in the middle of Dunedin, walking distance to some great places. The room was mixed, the bedroom was great. However the shower was not good, there was no hot water, barely lukewarm even after waiting 10 minutes. Also the shower wasn't cleaned properly, could see hairs on the wall.
