Amazing new resort. Everyone from valet, to front desk, to housekeeping, to restaurant staff were above and beyond friendly. Always asking how our stay was going and what more they could do for us. The room was spacious, immaculate, and had a beautiful view of the beach from the large balcony. Many thoughtful amenities in the room and throughout the resort. Loved having a refrigerator and dishwasher along with a stocked kitchen. The only thing that would have made it better was a washer and dryer to help with wet and sandy clothes. The pantry on each floor was a great touch. Extremely convenient to get coffee and breakfast every morning at the cafe. Many restaurants and shops in an easily walkable distance. Can't go wrong staying here.

I’m not sure why anyone would stay anywhere else in the Clearwater Beach/St Pete/Tampa area than Opal. Where to begin. The grounds, the pools, the restaurants … all five star. All of which empties out onto a perfect beach w/ white sand. The staff is impeccable…welcoming without being “salesy”. You can immediately recognize that management has approached every detail of customer service at an expert level. Everything is “easy”. Exactly how you want it on vacation. And the rooms are spacious to a fault. I’m a pretty harsh critic …especially when a hotel or restaurant brands itself as a cut above or luxurious… Opal is easily both. I have multiple couples and families who will be visiting here in the near future and I will certainly be a return guest. It’s just rare that you have a hotel that excels at everything… restaurants, rooms, service, pools/beach/grounds. Absolute no brainer. I would have paid twice what I was charged…

We spent four wonderful nights at Opal Sol as a couple in our fifties and overall had a fantastic experience. Our king studio on the 15th floor was a highlight — the room was beautiful, contemporary, spacious, and spotless, and the views were absolutely stunning. We had front-row seats to the sunset every night, plus warm afternoon sunshine that made relaxing in the room a joy. The staff were consistently friendly and eager to help, although we learned it’s worth confirming details with a second person if something is important. For example, we asked about extending our checkout and were first told it would be no problem, then the day before departure were told it wasn’t possible due to housekeeping — but when we asked again the morning of departure, it was easily granted. We dined twice at Drift, and the food quality and atmosphere were excellent, but it’s smart to double-check your order. We experienced a few mistakes, including an undercooked salmon one evening. That said, we still really enjoyed the restaurant and would return. The pool deck is beautifully designed, and we especially loved the lounge chairs facing the beach — such a perfect place to relax with the ocean in front of you. We also booked a couples massage at the spa. While it wasn’t the best massage we’ve ever had, it was still a very pleasant and relaxing experience in a lovely setting. Valet service was smooth and efficient, which made it easy to take our rental car in and out for daily excursions without any stress. Overall, this was a great stay — the property is gorgeous, the views are unforgettable, and the atmosphere feels fresh and upscale. With just a little more consistency in communication and dining execution, it would be perfect. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Opal Sol for a relaxing Clearwater Beach getaway.

Excellent resort can’t recommend enough. I was there for a two day seminar but wound up staying for a full seven days. The restaurant served high-quality food and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The pools and hot tubs are very clean and we had a blast. The rooms were immaculate with room service every day. If you’re looking for a five star resort in Clearwater Florida, this is your place.

Recently stayed at Opal Sol for a business convention with my husband and I was very impressed! The room was very nice and spacious with an amazing balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable as well. The food was very good at both Toast & Drift (especially for hotel restaurants). We actually enjoyed the food here far and above anything else that we tried in the area. The pool temperature was really warm for February and the hot tubs at both the main area and the spa rooftop pool area were clean and nice as well. I had a very relaxing Swedish massage and also utilized the salt room at the Spa. The location was perfect- close to tons of bars, restaurants, shops, and a really nice walking path along the beach without getting sandy. Also a big shoutout to their valet system- I loved being able to scan the VR code to have our car ready by the time we got downstairs. All the guys working were very nice and they even held my luggage for hours in a secure locked room after check out. Highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a getaway in Clearwater! It is not our favorite beach town on the gulf coast, but I would come back to stay at one of the Opal resorts again. We are looking forward to trying other hotels in other locations that are part of the Opal Collection as well.

Started as a business trip, but extended it to a vacation. Returned to Opal Sol on our way back from the east coast of Florida because we enjoyed it so much the previous week. The rooms are fantastic, modern, clean and full of amenities. Food and drinks were amazing. It is a premium experience that comes with a higher cost, but well worth it. Will definitely consider other locations for future travel.

WOW! From the moment we arrived, the Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The grounds are wonderful and the service from the bar and restaurant was world class! We ate at Drift night one and Seaguini night two. Both meals were fantastic. Our room was 10th floor and what a view it was! Location is perfect for anyone in the Tampa / Clearwater area. We came in for a family trip and it worked out perfectly to do some time in Tampa and time here in Clearwater. We will definitely be back to this resort.

Great, great resort! Was there for a business conference and facilities and service were first rate. The rooms were modern and clean. The pools and hot tub nice. Easy access to the beach. The conference rooms were also modern and comfortable. Our room had a great ocean view. And finally the service was the best part. The staff was always courteous and helpful. We called an audible on the trip. We asked to shorten our stay by a day and I knew it was an ask as it wasn’t guaranteed per room rates and not always guaranteed not to be charged for it. I asked Cam at the front desk if we could shorten by a day he said he would have to check with Bailey his manager and he got the okay. Thank you for understanding!

From the valet and check in to the room service and food selection, this place is the true definition of luxury. They are located on the pristine beach steps from the lobby. The views are truly unbeatable. They were also extremely welcoming to my dog Goose and everyone around the property were very friendly and seemed excited to work there, which is a huge indication to me that the hotel is truly treating everyone fairly. I can’t wait to be back in the warmer months! I’d like to give a special shout out to Vera at Current for making every day special that we were there and the valet for treating my vehicle so respectfully and giving great local dog-friendly recommendations.

5* we loved our stay, the view from our balcony overlooking the white sand beach and the water, and the sunsets were gorgeous. We loved the design and layout of the outdoor pools and the peaceful lavish resort esthetic. Plenty of lounge chairs and space to warm up by a heated fire table in the evenings. We loved being able to go over to Opal Sands and seeing the overall different vibe over there with the cool tiki bar. I loved the outdoor patio hanging right over the water and being able to see some cool fish right at the shore, and the sunsets were a better view from there, but overall we loved Opal Sol so much more. All the staff from Valet, housekeeping, bartenders and waiting staff at the pool were so respectful and friendly and really just made our stay top notch. This was my college age daughter and I’s Mother-Daughter vacation and we just fell in love with Clearwater and this luxury hotel vibe. I can't wait to rave about this place and will definitely come back and refer friends, strangers, and family here. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!!
