Mari Jean Hotel consistently receives mixed reviews, highlighting its lively party atmosphere and prime location in St. Petersburg, Florida. While many guests praise the friendly staff, the vibrant nightlife and potential for noise can be a significant concern, particularly for those seeking a quiet stay. Overall, the hotel offers a unique experience centered around entertainment and socializing.
My friend recommended and went with him. Got my own room which to me was cute, from the decor, tv, shower tiny sink it was just right for sleeping for we were out most of the time. The hotel has 3 bars to hang out at a lovely pool area to hang out sun, swim, drink and listen to fun music. The location perfectly located to walk around and shop, eat or drink elsewhere. The whole area is alive with people, music and fun. I could hear music and the people outside from room but to be expected in a fun party atmosphere so perfect for me, what I wanted and needed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Only critic I have no iron or steamer or ironing board, but I'm sure if i had asked they would have provided. I am bringing friends next time or just come back myself, it was just right and I enjoyed myself at Mari Jean every moment and the area was fun, safe and lively, just what the doctor ordered. Thank you David and staff I'll be back.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel in St.Petersburg,Florida.From the moment we arrived. The location was perfect.from the stunning beaches, which were truly breathtaking with their soft white sand. Our room was comfortable and relaxing, providing everything we needed after a day out enjoying the sunshine and surroundings. The hotel itself was very clean, well looked after. Regarding the staff…very friendly, helpful and always made us feel at ease.Nothing was too much trouble, and their warm attitude ready added to the overall experience.Big thanks to Sam & Brad & Everyone else. Overall l had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.l would happily stay here again in the near future. Enjoyed having a lovely breakfast each morning too… Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable Annette Powell….
I just got back from an amazing weekend at the hotel, and I can’t wait to share my experience! The check-in process was a breeze, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I even met one of the owners, which added a really personal touch. Honestly, you don't even need to venture outside; the property has it all! There are two fabulous cocktail bars right downstairs, plus a gorgeous pool that has its own open bar and food service. It's no wonder this place is known as an adult-only hotel there's plenty of adult games, and let’s just say, there were some striking swimsuits and lively scenes by the pool! They even hosted a fantastic drag show at one of the cocktail bars, called The Ball. The location couldn’t be better, either! It's right in the heart of Central Station, surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and more bars with live music, all within walking distance. The bed in my room was super comfortable, and while I could hear the music from downstairs, it didn’t bother me since I’m not a light sleeper. Sure, the bathroom was on the smaller side, but it felt so cozy, and I had a nice view of the street. Overall, I felt completely comfortable and safe during my stay. What a fabulous getaway! Goodnight!
Great location! Being that you're above a nightclub, you hear the loud bass until closing at 3am even on the third floor. And, since there was an after party until 7am...I didn't sleep. The shower didn't have any water pressure (was a trickle) and no hot water on my last morning of a two night stay. This was my second time staying here and my worst experience. My next stay still be elsewhere, as it wasn't worth the price.
Read all details online and do not book through third party unless you want to pay an upgrade fee. Some of the rooms are over the bar and club that parties til 3am. Service was catty as hell. That might be the shtick, but it did not land well.
Priority is on bar and disco, treat guests horribly. Will never stay here again. Worst gay hotel anywhere. Ridiculous policies like not lending pool towels without securing a driver’s license for each individual towel ( which are poor quality and kind of dirty anyway), not allowing you into your room even if it is cleaned and ready if you arrive early unless you pay them $25 per hour! We are literally leaving a day early that we already paid for because we could not stand the way we were treated, and didn’t want to spend another penny there. Tried to give the manager feedback, but his response was condescending and defensive. This establishment does not understand customer service and will loose in the long run
This was our first time in St Pete and we came to this hotel by recommendation of a friend. Service was not friendly at all. Location is ok, but far from everything. Room was just ok, you have nothing but a bed and a bathroom. No fridge, no coffee maker. When you ask for something to any employee, they seemed to be annoyed by it. Then we tried the bar downstairs…. Omg the bartender was awful. Rude and more concerned about 2 girls that were hanging out with him than taking care of us (who not only were paying customers but also hotel guests). We had booked this trip for 5 nights and we left after our 3rd night to another hotel to finish our trip. I told them the night before we were leaving early because we were not happy there and they said “too bad … there’s nothing we do about it!” Please stay away from this place
It’s a historic building. There are restrictions on what they can and cant do here. They also manage expectations well in advance so you kinda know more about what you are getting into. That said, and staying as a LBTQ friendly couple, we appreciate what’s going on here, but not sure it was the right choice for us or other guests. It is certainly a party scene here and staying upstairs from the party makes it perfect for a hook up, but for a quite night’s sleep not the right pick. The bathrooms are very small, sink in the bedroom, not much storage space. Loved the ironing board, but no iron in 325. The tv worked well and remotes for led lights were fun. Loved the little clock on the bed side table. Pool is temp controled but not heated. No hot tub. During the day the pool opens to the public and they do have events outside too. The location is great for exploring St Pete and the pre arrival texts and links were helpful. The service was friendly and welcoming.
Location is great staff not so much... make sure you print off your parking before you come.... prepare for tiny sink/ wet bath- shower Toilet same area - half a mirror and no refrigerator.
Room was fine. Staff was good. BUT WE PAID FOR PARKING AND THEIR CONTRACT TOW COMPANY STOLE OUR CAR. THEY MADE ZERO EFFORT TO CONFIRM WITH MANAGEMENT we are GUESTS AND LAID FOR PARKING. BUYER BEWARE: the hotel doesn’t write down your license plate and the Tow contractor DOES NOT confirm with hotel Before towing your car. What an expensive mess. And the Hotel didn’t make any effort to clear it up telling us Not their problem. $332- stolen from us.
