When we arrived our room was not clean and it didn’t become fully apparent how horrible it was until we actually used the room. We arrived around 5:30pm, left right away for dinner and then came back. We had dirty pillowcases, sinks had crumbs and the drain catcher had hair, the bathtub had crusty pieces/stains, the bottom of the sink and baseboards crumbly and in the main bed area the baseboards are black and dirty etc. We just wanted to get through the night before saying anything. I used my sweater as my pillow. I reached out to the owners at 6 am and they offered $50 refund. We also were provided cleaning supplies. They offered to clean it. However, if they’re not doing quality control on their property we could not trust they would clean it properly afterwards and didn’t trust them in our room with our belongings. So we cleaned it. We tried our best to get past the skin crawly feeling of us being stuck in this place. There were other issues like paper thin walls/windows (if you do not bring headphones or ear plugs you will likely not sleep through the night), uncomfortable beds, flat overused pillows, and having to ask for toilet paper and towels. That is bare minimum. You cannot trust the pictures online. They don’t show the true nature of their rooms. Our bathroom sink for example had sharp rough dirty white layers. Not sure what it is. We do not recommend them at all. Especially since we tried to resolve with a partial refund and they declined.

We had a fantastic extended stay at the Sunrise. The short walk to the beach was excellent. The pool was comfortably heated. So much to do in the area. Restaurants within walking distance, or a short bus ride with a pick-up spot right outside the door. Our hosts, Christina and Tamas, were the best, friendliest and most easy going couple. Big plus. Great experience staying at the sunrise motel. Rooms are very nice and liked having a kitchen area with full-size fridge, etc. Enjoyed the beautiful pool and roughly a two minute walk to the beach Location is exceptional You within minutes of walking to the beach, restaurants, and bars Ka Tiki In particular is a great place for live music seven days a week and they have the best cheeseburgers for $3 ! Will definitely book her for next time I visit treasure Island area

This place is a gem ?!!!! I have stayed here many times and everything was fabulous!!! I love the ladies that run the place. Don't forget to eat at the Taco Bus across the street, it is amazing!!!!

Very nice place at a pretty decent price two minute walk from the beach. Rooms are super cute very clean. I can tell that the people who run this place really do put their heart into it. Got a nice little bar restaurant right next-door a pool for the kids overall, I would stay here again very nice.

I am currently here now. This place is amazing. Sea Dog brewery right next door, a 7-11 gas station across the street, shrimpys bar, caddys bar on the beach and ka-tiki bar ($3 burgers all day) all within a 5 min walk. Beach towels were provided in the room, along with basically cooking needs, and they had extra items like beach chairs, aloe, water (things people left behind) out for people to borrow. The beach chairs were so nice to have. Free beach rides service was amazing (they work for tips) Definitely coming back.

This has been a very convenient stay! I didn't use the pool but it looks great! Love the close walk to food and the beach. The owners are very responsive and so sweet. I would absolutely stay here again when I come back to the area!

My experience was beyond expectation. The new owners are not sparing any expenses as they renovate, and tastefully decorated my unit. The new mattress's, box springs, furniture, and more was a classy change from my previous visits. Oh my, when the jacuzzi bathtub was added, I extended my reservation. If I could describe the stay in one word, it is "Peaceful". Well done.

Loved the quaintness of this motel. We had a mini kitchen which was all we really needed. The pool temperature was ideal for relaxing and there were plenty of lounge chairs to use. The beach trolley stopped right in front and gave us access to shopping, eating and multiple beach coast stops for a small fee. After a reasonable Uber fair from the airport we did not need a car. Short walk to Sunset Beach…great location!
