Super cute retro rooms with all of the essential amenities you need for any length of stay. Extremely clean!!! Quiet property, absolutely no smoking or vaping on the property but there is a smoking area just outside the courtyard. The pool is right on the bay which is pretty neat. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved it all but the pool hours could be later to enjoy the beautiful lighted pool after 7pm. Only open 9am to 7pm. Would have been great to hav3 a screen on the front window and be able to open the window in the bedroom. We stayed in until 15. Rene was great, she is the only front desk staff I spoke with and Mario is a great house keep. The place was very clean inside and out. Their sign was damaged during the last hurricane season and I hope they can find someone to refer ish it and keep the retro original style. This apartment style room worked great for our trip and we plan to return! Hopefully the until we get has windows that can be opened and longer pool hours. ?

I was a little nervous when we pulled up after dark. But once I got in the room, they are just adorable, everything was super clean. The staff was great and you could walk to the beach in about 5 minutes. I will definitely be staying at this place again.

Staying at the Sea Jay hotel was a nightmare! The floors were filthy, the curtains did not even shut on the windows, the few dishes I had to use were dirty and I had to wash them. The air conditioner/heater was so loud I could not sleep with it on. It sounded like a freight train in the room. And the absolute worst part was there was an adjoining door to the room next to me, which was Room 11, there was several adults and several children in that room that made an incredible amount of noise. All night long, yelling screaming moving furniture, etc. I called the after hours number for over 2 1/2 hours, only to be told to keep calling back every 30 minutes if it doesn't get better, only after the last call I made where I threatened to call the police did they FINALLY agree to send somebody to knock on that door but told me it would be another 45 minutes before somebody could get there , which would be about midnight! I heard them banging on their door but the people never answered. Although I could hear them inside,I walked down to the office to speak to that manager you who had shown up, I had recorded multiple times where they were making noise. And she listened to those recordings and said I should get a refund for that night. Very early , the next morning , I was awoken by two people , yelling and screaming on the balcony. I spoke to the desk clerk that morning. He confirmed there had been other complaints about room number 11 and he also said I should get a refund . When I contacted that hotel late that afternoon I was told I would get no refund because I "stayed the night" in that hotel! I called the "customer service" line for Frank hotels and tried to speak to a lady about the situation, she became arrogant and rude and told me there was nothing that could be done, and that Frank hotels does not have a complaints department and then hung up on me.

This is one of my favorite go to places when I’m in the area. The rooms are clean. The pool is sparkling and every employee that I came in contact with was extremely helpful and nice. They are located about a block away from the beach on a nice little canal with a beautiful view.

The Sea Jay is a great place to stay. This is our second year vacationing here, and we love the location, staff and the pool. Its a smaller hotel (which we prefer) and the staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. Waffle House is one block away, public beach access is 2 blocks away, and the grocery store is a 15 minute walk. Several restaurants in the area, with delivery options. Yes the rooms are simple with basic furnishings and a small bathroom (some may call it dated, I call it retro) but the price is affordable for a week's stay. I almost didn't want to write a review, so we could keep this place a secret! But we love it so much here. Will be coming back next year for sure

I don't really want to tell everyone how amazing this place is because I want to keep it for myself!!! Let me start by saying that Rene did such a great job getting our room ready early. We were in between checking out of another hotel and checking into Sea Jays so we stopped just to see if we could get in early. She rocked it. She had our room ready and we got to unpack and enjoy the rest of the week. The courtyard is so beautiful. The pool is amazing. There's a gas grill for you to use and they have grilling utensils right there hanging in a bag under the cover. The entire staff was so great. They let you enjoy your stay and were ready to get you anything you needed. The rooms are retro and I liked that they have you a feeling of stepping back in time. I also want to me from that it is in the perfect location. You are walking distance from a variety of restaurants and shops and you are right across Gulf Blvd from public access to treasure island beach. I will ALWAYS book here when I am in the area. Lovely older vintage vibe motel. If you like the vintage 50s and 60s this motel is the spot. Pink tubs, pink toilets, terrazzo flooring, and cute as can be. This is an older motel so one should expect older motel things. We had a wonderful stay with family renting multipul rooms while we were in town for a wedding. Staff was fantastic, pool was perfect, rooms were clean. Walking distance to the Treasure Island Beach, Waffle House, and other small resterants and shops. Plenty of parking for hotel guest. Abundant wildlife in the waterway. One family member even saw a dolphin swimming through one morning. Short Drive to John's Pass. Easy to use ride share, Uber, or Lift to get around Treasure Island and other areas of St Pete.

I had an overflow of guests from out of town. One of which I booked a room at the Sea Jay Motel. The room was great, comfy bed, large flatscreen, TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, etc. The bathroom is very retro but clean. It was an end unit which was nice not to have neighbors. Renee, the assistant manager did such a wonderful job for us. Renee is very conscientious, friendly, professional. The pool is just beautiful. One half block off of the beach, the golf of America. I would highly recommend this delightful boutique hotel. I will be using them again.

I really, really loved my stay at the Sea Jay Motel in Treasure Island. The whole property radiates a fun retro, mid-century modern vibe—think Golden Girls meets classic Florida beach motel. Parking was easy, and both the rooms and grounds were spotless. My room had a good-size fridge, microwave, Keurig with coffee and cream, and two complimentary water bottles. The shower is small but fits the historic charm. Location is perfect—just a short, easy walk to the beach—with a phenomenal pool and classic Treasure Island views. Communication was quick and friendly, and every staff interaction matched that can-do energy. As a self-confessed hotel snob and usual Hilton loyalist, I was blown away by how clean, stylish, and welcoming this place is. Can’t wait to return.
