Recent reviews at McKibbon Hospitality reveal a significant and concerning issue with bed bugs in rooms, compounded by unresponsive customer service and unprofessional staff behavior. The company’s overall reputation appears severely damaged by these experiences, with a marked lack of responsiveness and a troubling pattern of rudeness and discriminatory practices highlighted in older reviews.
I stayed at their Holiday Inn Express in Savannah, GA. It has BED BUGS!! We stayed in room 327 from 12/19-12/22. Morning of checkout, we found bed bugs in our room. We immediately notified the manager, Dakisha, who said she could not do anything for us (besides an $50 credit which covered one night of parking, and trash bags to transport our contaminated luggage, thanks) until a bug inspector comes out and confirms it is bed bugs. On morning 12/22, we were told that the inspector was en route. Two days later on Christmas Eve after lots of back and forth and miscommunication, they finally claimed there’s no infestation. Dakisha even told me that the bed bug on our towel was most likely already there from housekeeping, implying this is an established problem. Not one staff was fazed by us having bed bugs. Dakisha was not helpful at all and really started our holiday season off wrong. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again or a McKibbon Property if I can help it. This was a traveler’s worst nightmare.
While the hyatt we stayed at was good, the placement of a Gideon Bible and another pamphlet in the room was highly offensive. It's being completely out of touch with the world and as a hospitality company you should not promote ANY religion. Do better.
Called and emailed several times. They NEVER responded. I think I dodged a big bullet!
This company has employees that judge on marital status and lies to applicants do not apply for this company I am going to make them go viral on TikTok and YouTube and also the news for discrimination against applicants
This company sucks. Staff from the main office rude and useless. I have tried to reach out about my W4 and all my calls went straight to voicemail. I left multiple messages and no one from HR contact me back. After waiting for so long, I decided to speak with someone from the office and I was on hold for 40 min until finally someone answered me. This lady called Trisha, if this is her real name, was extremely rude and she didn’t even try to listen or give a solution for my request. When I mentioned about my W4 She said “there is nothing that I can do for you”. then I said “but I don’t work for the company anymore and I was hoping someone could give me a solution” and she dryly said “call your HR”. I am wondering. Is this the company that provides hospitality service for big brands like Marriott and Hilton when they can barely treat people with respect and cordially.
Great hospitality, front desk staff was very helpful and informative about restaurants near by to dine. The housekeeping staff was friendly especially Kristin. She always greeted us with a smile and took great of our room (pets).
By far the worst experience i have ever had with a hotel, their sale staff is a joke and very unhelpful when trying to coordinate group accounts, they referred to my call for a LNR account as "harassment" simply because we called on a few separate times to discuss setting up a packaged rate. This is for the Homewood, Towneplace, and the Hilton Garden Inn in Tampa FL. The same rude Regional Director of Sales- Jasmine needs to be fired! I am a Hilton Honor member and love staying at Hilton properties, i even own a Timeshare with them, but the way this particular company represented the Hilton Brand is a literal SHAME to their name.
