Island Gulf Resort offers a beachfront location with beautiful ocean views and a convenient access to the beach. While many guests appreciate the cleanliness, friendly staff, and included amenities like beach cabanas and parking, some have experienced issues with room privacy, bed quality, and persistent follow-up calls from staff. Recent reviews highlight the property's peaceful atmosphere and proximity to shopping and attractions following storm damage repairs.
The place was nice to stay at. Rooms were ok. After you stay here, they will harass you and call multiple times a day from different numbers each time so you cannot block them. When asked to be removed from their list and to not call again they say they can’t guarantee that.
Beautiful location. The prettiest beach I have ever been to. Island Gulf Resort is a very nice hotel. The room was great and it was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that could be better is the television situation. An investment of modern smart tv's with all of modern perks would make the stay chef's kiss perfect.
Loved the stay. Will return but I did not like 10:am checkout time. Seems the industry is stealing time from us patrons with 4:pm check ins and now 10:am check out plus pool closed and wasn't made aware. Still the room was up to par for sure.
We enjoy Island Gulf Resort. It is a smaller place, very peaceful. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Everything is still working to reopen after storm damage, so not every business was open nearby. But plenty of choices within a short drive.
We just spent a week at the resort. It is very clean, very close to the ocean with spectacular views. We saw dolphins swim almost every morning. We were very pleased with the location, being very close to major shopping and attractions. We stayed in room 204 which had several drawbacks. The balcony directly overlooks another tenant's balcony so you are literally a few feet from them. You hear their conversations and they hear yours, no privacy whatsoever. The queen bed was lumpy and squeaky. It needs replaced badly as I could feel the springs. The ice maker was very loud when it dropped ice which sounded like knocking at the door. That was very scary at 1:00 am. The washer and dryer are very small. You can get maybe 2 towels and some underwear but we were very glad to at least have it. The microwave was very loud after 30 seconds like it was going to explode. It needs replaced. The kitchen was adequately stocked with silverware, plates and pots and pans, but you'll need your own paper products and cooking spices. There is a coffee maker, it's not a keurig. Morning and evening mosquitos can be bad on the balcony, you might bring some bug spray. Overall would stay here again. Next time will try to get room on an upper floor.
Not sure why there are pics of a pool. There is only a hot tub. This place has no warmth to it all! It feels like an old apartment building. Best thing is the beach! It needs a good cleaning and some bright paint!@ Bugs on.the top of the fridge creaped me out! It's awful! Do yourself a favor find another place to stay.
All one-bedrooms face the gulf and the two-bedrooms face the street. The convenience of not dealing with a massive hotel to get on/off the beach is worth the price in gold. Parking is a breeze as each unit has one reserved spot. The sister property, a mile south, has a larger pool that’s also available to use. The included beach cabanas are also super convenient. They also had noodles and other floaties for the water where the cabana cushions are kept. We never had issues with noise — and other guests there during our week-long stay have now become new friends. It’s a hidden treasure and the staff was phenomenal.
Amazing place to stay. Balcony has unobstructed ocean views to watch dolphins swim by & great sunsets. Clean & modern room. A/C was always nice and cold. Free Beach Cabana chairs. Covered parking. Breakfast spot right across the street. Beach Bar right next door. Special Thanks to KC. Her kindness & helpfulness really made our vacation.
We stayed here a week ago for a week. We had an enjoyable time. I could not find anything regarding our one bedroom loft to complain about. It is perhaps one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. The staff were wonderful. The location is great. The previous complainer about not having a view of the ocean should have read that the website. There were several activities scheduled during our stay. The hot tub was warm although the outdoors was very chilly the week we were there. The grounds were kept very clean.Although parking is limited to one spot per unit there is additional parking available in a very short distance. If you didn’t have a good stay while here it’s because you did not try hard enough. Mary is a great manager and has information about everything. We look forward to coming back in October or November.
