The Beach House Motel & Apartments offers a charming, retro-Florida experience just steps from Treasure Island beach. Guests consistently praise the friendly and accommodating manager, Robert, the convenient location, and the affordability. While some units may require a bit of a renovation, the overall experience is positive, especially for independent travelers seeking a relaxed beach getaway.
My husband and I stayed here when we went to Florida for our 10 year anniversary vacation. We absolutely loved this place. It's comfortable conveniently located just across the parking lot to a beach access and near cute shops and wonderful restaurants. Robert is a fantastic host! He gave us a solid rundown of how the place works, what's expected and even gave us suggestions for some great local grub. He was very accommodating and we loved that! This is not a luxury hotel. If that is what you are looking for I suggest one of the resorts near by. This authentic gem located on treasure island, near Madeira Beach offers a unique retro Florida vibe, with efficiency style rooms, classic turn key style entry, cool tile floors and the vibrant bright colors of old Florida. The unit we stayed in was equipped with a kitchen stocked with appropriate cookware and kitchenware needed to make your own meals during a short stay. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in my life. 10/10. There is a wall unit for AC but it works amazing, and there place stayed comfortably cool while we there. We actually ended up turn the air temp setting up because it was actually a little cold for us at first. Chairs and towels were available to us to rent which made for a much for comfortable stay on the beach while we were there. The fee to rent these was way less expensive than the cost to purchase them and then have to check them to take them home. There's a few catches because I know some of you all like to complain about everything: they don't have cleaning services, you are expected to clean up after yourself, wash the dishes that you use and not be wasteful of your towels. They have a great system for towel exchange, when you need new ones you just have to follow the instructions given to you. This is not a high end hotel with room service and maids. If you are a high maintenance or super needy guest this is not the place for you. If you are an independent low maintenance guest just looking for a place to crash during your stay at the beach this is your place! The only suggestion I have for the owners is that the TV's are older, and hooked up to vintage HVS/DvD players and hooked up to direct TV without the ability or order on demand. It would be cool if one of the upgrades would be installation of Roku or similar so guests can have access to streaming services. While I understand it's expected that guests won't be there much, some of us are old and need a night in to chill after having our Midwest skin baked on the beach all day ?.
rooms are very clean, service is by far excellent! I feel as if the location to go to the beach is phenomenal, it is NOT a long walk at all! Robert is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met down here. He is so kind not only to our children but everyone I see him talk to. We need a million more establishments that make you feel welcome and at home!!!You can also rent a chair during your stay for cheap! There is a patio that hosted our family dinners serval times. Plenty of room & a gas grill!! House keeping is very attentive! We definitely will keep coming back.
We just got back from an amazing vacation and couldn’t be happier with our choice of hotel. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, the location was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in town!
Traveling to this stretch of ocean and beach is always a treat for us. We spent 3 nights at the Beach House - Treasure Island and had a very plesant time. Roger, the manager, is very knowledgeable about the area and made a few dining suggestions which turned out to be very good. Our Rooms were clean and comfortable as well as the (it had everything we needed), equipped kitchen area. The walk to the beach from our room was about 2 minutes down the board walk and the view of the Gulf is all around you. The price we paid for our stay was very reasonable. Thank you.
My wife and I with our two boys recently stayed at the Beach House and couldn’t have been happier. The rooms are immaculate and cozy. There isn’t a pool, but the hotel is just steps from the beach, so who cares. The location is great. It’s a short walk to Johns Pass with plenty to see and do. I have to say the best part of our stay was our host, Robert. Really solid guy. Robert went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We look forward to staying here again!
Great stay on Treasure Island! Robert is a friendly, helpful host. My suite had charming mid century decor and was very clean and quiet. This place can’t be beat for an affordable, enjoyable visit to a fun and friendly area!
This place is a great deal right on the beach. Small maybe 12 units. If you have kids or you need a pool or room service then you might be disappointed. You are not facing the beach but not many steps from it. If you are focused on the beach with fun and food nearby and a great deal then this place rocks. Free rides down the beach u just need to tip. Roger at the office was super informative and friendly. I got all the places to eat and drink or hear live music in the vicinity. Middle grounds for dinner was fantastic and I am some what of a food snob. The unit was clean and cozy with fridge and sink.
Right next to the beach on a dead end street, this cute little hotel offers the best of the best for an even better price! My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and just last week went back down for the holidays, it was everything we remembered it being! The hotel manager was accommodating and kind, great conversationalist too. The whole first floor was recently remodeled due to the hurricane, so it’s better than I remember! If I ever come back down to visit again, I’ll definitely be staying here.
We had a wonderful weekend stay. Robert, the manager, is absolutely delightful and helpful. The rooms are cute, clean and are well stocked with everything needed including a small kitchenette. The only negative about the room is that the AC is super loud when trying to sleep. Walking distance to John’s pass (15 mins) and the beach (2-3 mins). The motel provides beach towels and chairs. We would definitely stay here again!
Robert, the manager, was awesome. Spot on restaurant recommendations great knowledge of the area. The room was great for the two of us, quick walk to the beach, chairs and beach towels were also included. It was a great stay, would definitely stay here again.
