However, recent reviews highlight mixed experiences, ranging from exceptional stays with attentive management to significant issues with property maintenance and unresponsive service.

The condo was great! We had a two bedroom on the third floor. The outside is quite dated and definitely could use some updating and maintenance. However the condo itself looks all updated and perfect for our week long trip. Some additional pros, location is great to the beach, walking distance to grocery, restaurant, entertainment. Some areas that could use some work, outside looks rundown. Elevators not working. Our parking was aways away from our condo, recommend a dustpan in condo to help keep sand off ground, improved signage. We looked all over for laundry and then someone finally told us it was the room with the restroom sign. Overall though, great room and I would definitely recommend this place!

We have stayed here multiple times, and it is always great. We reserve a 2 bedroom, and have had the pleasure to stay in 201 more than once. Even in June and July when the temps are sweltering the AC has been able to maintain whatever temp setting we have asked it too. We’ve never run out of hot water for showers even with 5 people. Everything we could need has always been available: pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker…all general supplies-dish soap, paper towels, dishwasher pods, TP, hair dryer etc. I don’t know how much is supplied by the resort and how much by previous tenants as we too leave the extra supplies we always bring, but we have never ran out of any item we would need. Our condo has always been stocked with plenty of bath and beach towels, more pillows than you could ever need, an extra set of sheets and a blanket for the sofa bed are in the master closet waiting if needed, a good broom and mop are available in unit and as a mom of three I appreciate those being available for me to use. Variety of cleaning supplies under kitchen sink (I believe the majority of those have been renter purchased, and we usually add an item or two to the stash, there is a target and dollar tree about 12 minutes away if you don’t want to pay Publix prices for anything you find lacking.) This unit also has a couple of beach chairs and pool noodles available for use as well. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable, in 201 the living room TV is a smart TV, master bedroom TV is a Roku, and we bring a portable Roku device for the other bedroom for our kids. It is just steps to the beach by way of a designated crosswalk with the flashing lights to stop traffic so you can cross the road easily which is awesome when you have kids in tow, but if gulf swimming isn’t your thing the resort has a great pool with loungers. There is a shower by the pool gate if you need to rinse off sand before returning to your rooms. You also get a designated parking spot so if you visit during the busy season you won’t have to worry about parking if you leave and come back. They have also upgraded the doors to be key coded so you don’t have to worry about taking a physical key with you when you go to the beach. Westwinds will continue to be our top choice to stay at year after year when we visit. We love staying here, and our kids specifically ask if this is where I booked. Management is kind and fast to respond to all queries or needs. We honestly couldn’t ask for better. When we leave we are already looking forward to our next stay.

I decided to extend my trip by one night and booked this location through Expedia. The location and positive reviews initially drew me in, so I booked. Unfortunately, a family emergency came up and I tried to cancel, but it was non-refundable. I couldn’t get a flight out either, so I took it as a sign to just go with it. Upon arrival, things immediately started going downhill. I received no check-in instructions—no access code, no room number, nothing. I stood outside the property, which looked more like a run-down motel than a vacation condo, for nearly 20 minutes trying to figure out where to go. Despite the reservation stating there’s no front desk, there was a sign pointing to an “office,” so I tried that to no avail. I called the number provided—no answer. Left a voicemail. My partner called and finally someone told us we’d get a text with instructions. Once we finally got in, first impression: it looked nice. Clean-looking little apartment. But the issues continued. After showering, I found a towel with a large black stain on it—disgusting. I brushed it off and used another towel. We went to dinner and came back ready to rest after a long beach day, but the bed was unusable. It creaked loudly every time we moved, and the entire middle sank in. I couldn’t sleep at all. I didn’t want to make a fuss with my partner, but eventually she admitted she couldn’t sleep either. We tried the couch—worse. By 3:30 AM, desperate and exhausted, I contacted Expedia. The rep reached out to the property manager, who refused a refund, saying I was “just trying to get out of the reservation.” That had nothing to do with it—the bed was completely broken. I then called the property manager, Chad, directly. I explained the bed issue in detail. His response? He criticized me for waiting until 4 AM to call and brought up my earlier attempt to cancel—again, completely irrelevant. I explained that I tried to tolerate the situation but once I saw my partner, who works night shifts and was on her last night of vacation, unable to sleep, I couldn’t let it go. Eventually, Chad called me back and offered a partial credit. I told him no refund could make up for a night of lost sleep. He sarcastically said “you’re welcome” and hung up. Completely unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. He claimed he “didn’t notice the bed was broken” during his inspection—which is laughable because unless he laid on it, he wouldn’t have noticed. Between the broken bed, rude management, lack of proper communication, and dirty towels, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had—and I paid nearly $400 for ONE NIGHT. If you’re going to run a vacation rental, act like a professional, maintain your property, and at the very least, respect your guests. So disappointed. I would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone. For reference: Room 312

Our room was terrific- very clean and stacked full of amenities with a cozy decor overall. Being just across the street from the beach and close to Publix made the stay really relaxing as we never had to worry about parking. The elevators didn't work but we didn't have any issues with taking stairs. We will definitely consider returning here for a future weekend stay.

This condo was super nice! The bed was comfy, pillows were full. Tastefully decorated. Kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary cookware and utensils. Overall a very clean condo. Location was spectacular! Right across the street from the beach but if the beach is not your cup of tea, the back of the property has gorgeous views of the marina. Publix is within walking distance so if I needed something I just walked. Thank you for everything! I would definitely stay here again!

Westwinds was a dream come true for our family of 5. The pool overlooks the Bay, and we saw dolphins on multiple occasions, beautiful birds each day, and even spotted a seahorse in the water. The Gulf is right across the street, with a path to cross the street just steps away. We couldn't have chosen a more ideal location. My girls swam in the pool, like fish, daily. Towels ARE provided for this. We observed the Bay. We looked for shells at the Gulf and enjoyed the incredible sunsets. I'm under the impression that some rentals within Westwinds are independent; we rented directly through the Westwinds number and stayed in room 301, which we loved. I don't believe the elevator was working (mid-June), but that was okay for our family. The management was also very responsive. Our condo had a basic pan but no pot to boil pasta; and when I called, they were very prompt to bring one right over. The place isn't stocked with food/baking items aside from salt, but with Publix right there in walking distance, I just bought things like coffee, sugar, creamer etc. from the start and then bought items for meals each day. That way, management isn't leaving items that go to waste each time--so I appreciated that. Also, the condo was clean and spacious. There were TVs in both rooms and the living room. We sure felt at home and can't wait to return to make this our family tradition! Looking around at all the various units, this is the one I'll choose hands-down, with the pool right near the Bay. You can't beat the views!

First time renting a condo here in absolutely loved the location. Close and within walking distance to everything. We never rented a car the whole time we stayed and we walked everywhere we went.

Were not given condo I booked, instead a dirty, worn place with dilapidated sofa unit 206. Why advertise a unit, then bait and switch to a lesser kept one. There is a disclaimer but why do this to your customers? Floor was not swept or washed, dirty. Kitchen appliances had fingerprints and smears. I had to wipe them down. Door jams and baseboards grimy. No hooks in bathrooms, duh in a beach town? No broom or vacuum to get debris up. No cleaning supplies whatsoever. Sofa was dirty and had sand and crumbs in arm rests. THIS PLACE SUCKED VOLUMES. The bones were good but not maintained. Pool area grimy, chairs dirty and pool tile scum build up. Gross. Puddle of water outside laundry room the entire weekend. NEVER TO RETURN. There are tons of better places to rent in the area.Great location and that's where the great stops.

Great stay! Clean, updated condos that are very spacious. The staff works to ensure your best experience. Examples: 1- A palm branch fell during night storm near pool was gone next morning before 9 am. 2- Our room didn't have beach chair, and the manager instantly drove upon my request to purchase new chairs. You can easily see the ocean from top floor walkways. Very short walk to grocery or restaurants.
