Shephard’s Beach Resort consistently receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting its live music, beachfront location, and friendly staff. Guests rave about the vibrant atmosphere and entertainment options, making it a popular destination for both short getaways and longer stays. However, some have expressed concerns regarding noise levels and restrictions on bringing personal items to the pool.
Only stayed one night. But, wishing we had more time to stay! Super friendly staff from check in to check out! Very clean room. Delicious food and drinks. Beautiful sunset views while having dinner! The Difference band was spectacular! We will definitely be back for more fun!
Overall very happy with our stay, the complaints I have are minor but feel i need to address them. 1st I was told I could not have my own drink in a safe container in the pool area? But if you buy a drink there no problem. For $400 a nite i think we should be able to have our own drinks. 2nd I was smoking a cigar along with another guy 5ft from me but I was singled out and told there was no smoking, but if I went just outside the gate (6ft away) it was OK. Just feel a little picky for the amount I'm paying to stay at the resort. That being said everything else was great! The food was very good we only ate at the premises for all our meals also bought multiple drinks which also was great! The staff were all very friendly and courteous.
For the price, Shephard's is the perfect place. Great views, right on the strip, rooms were clean and all the employees were lovely. I would consider this more of an adult hotel. Multiple bars and live music. Indoor, two-story dance club. Perfect place for a couples or girls/boys trip. My sister was visiting from NY and she was thrilled with the beach and palm trees. She said "this feels like Florida!". :) Will definitely come back.
As a local, I have been coming to this hotel for 20 years! Obviously, it's much nicer now due to all the beautiful upgrades! The location is perfect and there is always something fun to do. We enjoy having drinks poolside and taking a dip in the ocean. The water view rooms are my favorite and have great views as well!! To top it off, Sheppard's is also a supporter of our local school fundraiser and gives back to our community!!! If you are looking for a spot to enjoy yourself on that much needed vacation, Sheppard's is the place to be!
Great atmosphere and the live music nightly is a real plus. And the views are pretty nice. On New Years this is the place to be with a cool party scene and front row for an amazing fireworks display.
We have been coming to Shephard's Beach Resort for over 15 years. This is the best place on Clearwater Beach. So much entertainment. The rooms are always very clean and maintained. The staff is great from the moment that you walk into the door. We have had the pleasure of always getting Tina at check in. She is absolutely amazing. Very personable and helpful. The wait staff at the restaurant is excellent along with very good food that is priced reasonable. We are looking forward to a month stay in February. Thank you, Tina, for all your help and attention on making this happen for us.
Me and my friends would frequent this place almost every weekend '15-'21. The rooms are amazing, the atmosphere matches, as well as the customer service. I haven't stayed here since 2017 so I'm not aware if anything has changed, but upon arrival they'll give you a wrist band that allows you to get into their nightclub for free. I had 4 friends with me and we all received one. There's also a restaurant but we never had the opportunity to eat there, just occasional bar food here and there, although I've heard great things about them from others. There's typically a live band playing pretty much playing throughout the day bringing good vibes. When the nighttime does come around the music and atmosphere is hard to beat. Inside they provide an 18 and up club, and outside is a 21 and up. They used to be open until 3am, however that's changed. I believe there's 3 bars outside easily accessible, and a dance floor in front of the stage. A nice little beach section you can walk out on and look out at the gulf. If you do decide to stay there they warn you about the loud music until 2am, but it's absolutely worth it. Sheps is the best?
Great resort. This is my second time staying here and both times have been great. Love the parties on the weekends. Lots of fun people, great music, and a great location. Right on the beach of the pass so you get to watch the boats go by. Rooms are clean and AC and heaters both work great. Public Bathrooms alone the pool and bar area are usually clean too even during parties. This is a great place to stay for adults, especially if you are 30+ because they are usually not playing current top 40 music, but they are playing older stuff.
We love this place! Rooms are clean, plenty of entertainment day/night, nice pool, great restaurant for breakfast/brunch and dinner with a view of the ocean. Nice little bistro for breakfast sandwiches and coffee, a little gift shop, close to everything in Clearwater. Our only small issue is that, on Fridays and Saturdays, if you're booked above the club, as we were, be prepared that you will hear the night club and it literally rocks your room until 230 am. We love the band entertainment on the weeknights, but the club is soooo loud.
I got a voucher for a free 1 night stay here. It was OK. Building and rooms were oldish and moderately clean. GREAT location! I also miss their buffet. They had a great buffet-- one of my top 5 buffets I've ever had anywhere-- at the Ocean Flame on the first floor. Then Covid happened in 2020 and the buffet never came back. I love Shephard's, but other than going there for the occasional sunset beer, I generally don't go back there anymore. Shepherd's, I'd love to give you my money!
