Madeira Bay Resort receives generally positive feedback, particularly regarding its location and convenient access to the beach and nearby attractions. However, recurring issues with cleanliness, bed comfort, and pest control are evident in recent reviews. The resort's management seems responsive to guest needs, providing assistance and attempting to resolve problems, though refunds have been inconsistent.
Checked in 5/26/26 staying until 6/1/26. 1st time here. I was very happy with this place. We would come back and stay again
Kate is amazing and was incredibly helpful with everything, she’s a wealth of information and as friendly as they come! My family and I had a fantastic stay here, the location is perfect and our suite had more than everything we required! Can’t wait to visit again! View from our balcony was great!
1st night we found tiny beetles in our bed at 2 am, one was attached to my eyelid. We looked up the bugs on line, they appeared to be carpet beetles. My husband reported it after we shook out the linens and checked to room over, and he was told they would send pest control to our room by 9 am so we stayed but pest control never came. While my husband webt on his prepaid fishing trip at 7 am I stayed to wait on pest control that did not show & spent hours washing all of our clothing & their bed linens. My entire vacation was ruined, the room was outdated, a drawer was falling apart, the blinds were broken, and they only refunded 30% of our total cost. I have photos and videos of the bugs but they refused to refund our money. The only reason we stayed instead of leaving immediately is that they said pest control would be there at 9 am & my husband had a prepaid fishing trip that was non-refundable at 7 am. They said because we stayed we were not getting a refund. I spent my vacation washing their bed linens, sweeping up dead bugs and washing all of our stuff & missed spending time with my family who were there for one day to spend the day with me. If I could attach the photos and videos I would. I sent them to the manager but was told they are there to make money. This is the worst place to stay, our room was bug infested abd outdated. They are pet friendly but have only one small grassy area to walk your dog. The shower curtain had spots of mildew on it and the bed is so hard it was painful to lay in. Not worth the price. We were in room 404.
We were recently at Madiera Bay. We loved the location, the resort was lovely and easy to get to. Kate was great! We hope to see you in 2027!?
The best place ever: beach is one minute walking, John's Pass village is three minutes walk, Marina View!
We held our family reunion. We had to find a new property due to the hurricanes. Kate guided us from step one to scheduling 2026. She was amazing with all our needs. The property had everything we needed and was pretty much in walking distance for most everything
This hotel is HORRIBLE do not come here SAVE YOUR MONEY. The pool was warm but it was VERY DISGUSTING THE WAS LITERALLY A BANDAID SWIMMING IN THE POOL!!WHAT!? THE ELEVATORS SMELLED SO BAD to the point where I had to hold my breath in the elevator when you pressed on the floor button it felt like the wall was gonna collapse at any moment. One worker came in and started working on the other elevator which was broken it smelled DISGUSTING. Couple days passed there was a FIRE ALARM. While we were AT THE BEACH?! Good thing that my friends told me that there was a FIRE! AND THE STAIR DOORS WERE CRAZY! DURING THE FIRE THEY DIDNT OPEN I STOOD THERE TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR! I was so happy to go back home.
I’m staying at this 3-star hotel for the first time. Overall, the room is okay, but I've noticed a couple of issues. The shower head's water pressure isn't strong enough to cover my entire body, which is different from my experiences at other 3-star hotels I've stayed at in various locations. Additionally, I'd appreciate more privacy for the ocean view spot since it's right next to my neighbor's room. For safety concerns about potential theft, I suggest considering enhanced security measures like a wall to prevent access from adjacent areas. Ensuring guest safety and privacy is important for a comfortable stay.
They are still recovering from hurricanes in this area. There was roof damage and things that I can understand. The rooms are small. We had a 2 bedroom for 4 adults. There 2 full size beds and a small loveseat. Around the toilet was gross and then utensils and pot holders were dirty. Only one elevator worked so we took the stairs to the 6th floor most of the time. The pool was nice and the pool atmosphere was pleasant.
The staff are nice and easy to deal with. Apparently the units are privately owned. Unit 406 is a nice 3 bedroom unit. The washer and dryer work okay but the $40 mattresses were miserable and well past their usefulness. I had to sleep on pillows and blankets. Worst stay I've had EVER. The attractions book in the living room is from 2007. Never a hot shower in 3 days. If this is your unit. SHAME ON YOU! Other guests mentioned comfortable beds, sofas and and well equipped. Jealous and pissed off!!!
