Recent reviews paint a concerning picture of this Holiday Inn Express, primarily citing persistent cleanliness issues including crumbs, toenail clippings, stained towels, and even a roach infestation. While staff interactions are often praised, particularly the friendliness of Amanda and Vicky, the core experience is marred by ongoing housekeeping deficiencies and infrequent maintenance.

The only positive things I have to say about this hotel is the front desk staff were friendly and it's a good location because it's so close to practically everything. If you get grossed easily by things, you may want to look elsewhere. But it was an extremely disappointing stay. The cleanliness and housekeeping standards seem to be nonexistent. Day 1 when we first got in the room, we sat down and noticed there were crumbs all over the floor, an old FRY underneath the nightstand between the beds, and even toenail clippings both left behind from a previous guest. (See pics - I couldn't take a pic of all the crumbs as they were everywhere) The beds were horribly made and the room overall looked rushed. It wasn't properly cleaned or prepared. Yuck!! The towels were another issue. Several towels over a 4-night stay had random hairs on them, and many were STAINED with unknown marks that looked potentially like old blood. So disgusting. (I forgot pics of these) Thankfully we brought towels from home. The following morning, we complained and requested that housekeeping vacuum and properly clean the room. After being gone several hours, we returned to find that almost nothing had been done. OH, fresh towels had been left, but the used towels were still there, the beds had not been made, the trash cans had not been emptied, and the room had still not been vacuumed. The same fry, crumbs, and toenail clippings were all still there exactly as before. Make matters worse, we returned to the room one night and found a baby ROACH in the shower lol. (See pic below) On top of that, the entire second floor smells like hot piss. I could go on , I'll stop here- I've stayed in a ton of hotels, this was by far THEE worst hotel experience I have ever had. They won't have to worry about me returning. Yucky yucky

Let me start by saying that the front desk staff were all very kind, professional, and helpful. Unfortunately, my issue was with the housekeeping standards during our stay. On our first night, we noticed the carpet had not been properly vacuumed. We politely mentioned it to the front desk, and they assured us they would notify housekeeping. While the carpet appeared to have been vacuumed afterward, the same french fry, nail clippings, and other debris remained on the floor the next day, making it clear the room had not been thoroughly cleaned. Throughout our stay, our beds were never made. The trash was emptied, but an additional trash bag we had started in the bathroom because the original can was overflowing was left untouched. We also saw a baby roach in the shower. The shower itself was never cleaned during our stay, and visible hard-water buildup in the corners had begun turning yellow, indicating it had not been properly maintained. My daughter mentioned that some hotels only provide housekeeping services every other day. If that was the policy, it was never communicated to us at check-in or during our stay. Regardless, basic cleanliness should not be optional. I work hard for my money and expect a clean hotel room when I travel. I don't believe daily attention to basic housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and showers, making beds, and removing trash is an unreasonable expectation. This experience has completely changed my opinion of Holiday Inn Express and the IHG brand. While I appreciated the courtesy of the front desk team, the lack of cleanliness and housekeeping standards means this will be my last stay at a Holiday Inn Express, and I have no intention of continuing my IHG membership.

Amanda at the front desk and the rest of the staff were truly amazing! Any concerns that me and my family had she was there every step of the way making sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay. Holiday inn truly has a gem! She had a great spirit and I enjoyed our conversations together. She also had amazing nails (Amanda if you’re reading this, I hope you remember who this is :))

Do NOT RECOMMEND! Spend your money elesewhere! I had a very disappointing experience with customer service at this Holiday Inn Express twice now and was overcharged. Prior to my stay, I called ahead specifically to confirm the rate, and I was very clear about my expectations on the total. I was told signing up for their "free rewards" would give a $30 discount. However, when I arrived and attempted to have the rate honored, the clerk was very rude and stated the extra charge was only a hold. That is typical, but I still said "Wow youre talking to me like I'm an idiot" and I grabbed the business card to see her name as its not on her shirt. The card said Zeke, manager. I called when I noticed the charge was still higher and was told to call back , when I did, a different employee gave an email for "best way to reach him" and I sent 2 emails 5days apart, never recieved a response. So I finally drove back to the hotel today and both the manager and that same clerk were present. He was unwilling to help and came across as quite rude also. I understand that policies can vary, but the way the situation was handled lacked professionalism and basic courtesy. Customer service should involve listening and trying to resolve concerns respectfully, which unfortunately was not my experience here. The pricing is very shady. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving how guests are treated, I travel often and will never again stay at a Holiday Inn or recommend them.

One Towel when I arrived for a family of 5. No eggs for breakfast. None!! The worse breakfast we ever had for paying so much to stay. Pancake machine not broke just no batter. Absolutely no biscuits next to the gravy. Sausage must have been old looked like it was at least double cooked. Had to track down food server as no one was around just to get pancake mix refilled. There wasn't many folks staying so at a loss. I couldn't stay here again. Sad as room was a decent size.

First night room had to be moved. 2nd room was comfortable and clean, but walls are paper thin. I could hear the person next to me snoring all night, and the next night and day, the people above me let their kids run back and forth through the room. 11pm kid/kids seemed to be running laps in the room!!! Housekeeper entered my room 2 days in a row without knocking first and scared the crap out of me!!! Despite the hiccups, hotel itself is clean, and breakfast is good. I would return because it's not the hotel's fault that people don't control their kids and consider other people. I'd just request a room on a higher level.

Update - I had to knock a point off of the score here due to none of the heaters work. 3 rooms I tried did not have heat and the one room that maintenance said they fixed was still broken. The heater for the floor does not work either Probably not going to matter here most of the time since it's Florida but it matters when it's 30 degrees outside like it is now This is a very nice and cozy place that has a great breakfast, comfy beds and 24 hour coffee. Elsa who was working the breakfast was wonderful and keeps it just right. This hotel is also next door to a Cracker Barrel which is definitely nice. Has a pool, laundry, exercise room and everything you would expect

Stayed here for a weekend and had a great experience. The room and hotel amenities are as expected for any Holiday Inn Express that we've stay in, but the staff and service far exceeded other experiences. Vicky at the front desk was friendly, very accommodating, and takes a genuine interest in her guests. We would absolutely stay here again.

Not a good experience especially on a cold night. The heater didn't work (needed a new coil per maintenance guy(he did bring additional blanket) These desk clerks not were at all friendly nor accommodating, don't think they've heard of thank you & you're welcome. Different days depending on who's at the desk seems to determine the amount of drinks per room for "complimentary" drinks, room phone didn't work. Definitely won't be staying here again while trying to decide whether or not to continue using any holiday Inns.

First of all the hotel rooms and breakfast is an A++ second the staff is amazing! The new general manager, Zeek is the best manager I have seen and I stay in hotels monthly for work. He is doing a great job and actually cares. He goes and meets guests during breakfast asks to take their trash and really wants to know how their stay is. Very nice young man. Other staff like Amanda and Vicky are very kind and great with their service
