This is our first time staying at the Mariott at Sand Key. First off, the Staff was great at this hotel! Sophia at the front desk made us feel right at home and did a fine job at meeting all of my requests while staying here. Housekeeping was another gem at the hotel. Our housekeeper Ayelene was probably the best housekeeper of any hotel that we’ve ever stayed at. She was very friendly and did an excellent job at keeping our room well supplied and clean! She promptly cleaned our room everyday and it was fresh and ready to go when we returned from our day's activity. As for the facility itself there is room for improvement. This is why it didn't get a full 5 stars. The room itself was very nice. The fixtures and furniture were in excellent shape. The only issues that we had with the room was that the carpet could have used a good cleaning. You could see that it was on the soiled side with some stains visible. The beds were full sized which means that they were small. With the size of the room, I thought that they could have fitted queen size beds in them to make it more comfortable to sleep. The only other complaint about the room is the shower control fixture. The location of the control is on the side wall. Normally all of the fixtures to control water flow and temperature are on the wall facing you under the showerhead. This was not and I bumped it several times with my elbow. This is a bad location for the control knob! They were giving the hotel a new exterior paint job which looked fabulous. But they need to pay attention to the outside deck around the pool area! It was in desperate need of a good power washing. It looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in sometime! You could see the traffic patterns of dirt all around the pool and the walkway that leads to the hotel! The staff does a great job at making sure that all of the tables and chairs are straighten up and everything is in order for the new day but the flooring needs to be attended to!! Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was top notch but the facilities could use more attention.

We just returned from our stay at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Resort on Sand Key and I was completely blown away by this hotel. The hospitality was an outstanding 1000/10. Every staff member we interacted with made us feel like royalty. From the front desk, pool, housekeeping, bellmen, and everyone in between- they were joyful and warm, always with a smile on their faces and eager to serve. The hotel itself had such a fun, family-friendly environment with a gorgeous pool, splash pad, and lawn area with games like giant Jenga and corn hole. Lisa, their beautiful Macaw, brought a smile to our faces every day, and we had so much fun at the daily activities the hotel organized like water balloon tosses, crafts, and other games. The gentleman who does balloon animals on the weekends was so funny and made my kids belly laugh every morning with his jokes as he made them cute balloon creatures. It felt like everywhere we turned there were so many surprise and delight moments that made our trip memorable. The pool area had a great restaurant/bar which made it convenient for us to have lunch by the pool, a huge plus with toddlers who could not be enticed to leave the pool for a second. I had never been to Clearwater before so I can't speak to other hotels, but our driver told us that our hotel has one of the most beautiful pools in Clearwater, and it really was beautiful. Our kids really loved it so much that we spent a lot of our time by the pool. The beach had beautiful turquoise water and white sand, and was easy to get to with complimentary beach chairs and an umbrella set up for us by the water. The hotel also had a bin of beach toys so you don't need to bring your own. The rooms had gorgeous views and the suite setup had a separate living area for the adults, which made it so relaxing to hang out at night after the kids go to bed without worrying about waking them up. I want to thank every person who works here, especially the management, who have truly thought of everything. Their attention to detail made our trip a spectacular place to make memories. We look forward to returning!

Stayed here while exploring Clearwater for a little while and was treated so well. First they had plentiful parking. Second we were treated SO KINDLY! The staff was extremely helpful and full of joy. The room was very clean. We went bike riding twice during our stay and it was so fun to explore the area. We loved biking to the beach for sunset (as pictured) and we went to get donuts as well. Definitely would recommend! ?

This is the definition of a resort. Came here on anniversary trip with hubby, front desk, valet, everyone was welcoming. We arrived early in the morning. I was able to check in around 12pm high floor balcony room. What an amazing view. Coming from south fl, the price is a bit steep being that the TVs and remotes were extremely outdated. The beds weren’t as comfortable either. We enjoyed all of the amenities here at this resort. We were at the lounge both nights wonderful with live music and great food, me and hubby loved the octopus. Service was a bit slow in the lounge looked like not enough waiters Friday night but they were working hard. The pool side bar had delicious food. The pizza was surprisingly good. Burger was good also. Got to ride the jet skis so much fun .We had a great time at this resort. Will return if I ever get the chance to again. I miss waking up to the sunrise and sound of seagulls Thanks so much ?

Staff was A++. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly, helpful and informative. Our server for breakfast was very good, professional and attentive. Front desk provided some great details about our stay,the area, and the hotel. Room was clean and neat and with our 10th floor location we could view the ocean side from the front and bay from bedroom. Shuttle service to and from beach. Close proximity to Clearwater made this location nice too.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. It’s perfect for families and very kid-friendly. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The kids especially loved Lisa, the resident bird—it was such a fun and unique touch. The service really stood out. Staff helped bring our luggage to the room, and a pack and play was delivered quickly, which made traveling with kids much easier. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The outside bar was a great surprise—the drinks were amazing, especially for a hotel bar. The pool was also fantastic, and the water was nicely heated, which made it enjoyable even on cold, windy days. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely come back again.

This hotel is top notch! The room was flawless, the balcony view was unbeatable, and it was SO clean. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, with Wilmer in valet being our absolute favorite! He goes above and beyond and is so pleasant to speak to. I felt like we made a new friend before we left. The food was delicious, especially the Cobb salad. We loved visiting with the beautiful bird, spending time by the heated pool, the hot tub, and the fire pits. The location is also perfect. We rode bikes to the park and to the shoppes next door and ate a delicious meal at Columbia. The beach is also very close and the perfect spot for watching the sunset. I can't wait to come back to visit this hotel again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

INCREDIBLE! Much quieter and calmer than staying closer to pier 60. Amazing view of the bay from our balcony, complete with serene sunrises and dolphin sightings. The other side of our room had a beautiful view of the city, beach, and panoramic sunset. Rooms were clean and tidy, well organized and quiet, and we loved having a separate space for our kiddo to sleep. All the staff we interacted with were SO kind and helpful. Amenities were top notch, heated pool was a hit, we loved that we didn’t have to drive anywhere with the provided vouchers for the Jolly Trolly. Beach days were a breeze with beach buggy service to and from the hotel and chair/unbrella vouchers. We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property 12/27-1/30!! The service was great from beginning to end. Michael (spelled differently) was so friendly and pleasant! Dave, I think, runs the shuttle bus, he’s amazing as well. The room was very clean and I loved the layout. The extra space is great for families with kids. I hear the 9th floor is the best, I can attest to that, the view was beautiful! The breakfast was sufficient, but very crowded during the holidays. The onsite Starbucks is limited but they made a good Iced White Mocha. What I enjoyed was the complimentary beach shuttle and the lively, yet not overwhelming, pool area. What I didn’t enjoy was the thin walls and loud neighbors. Our last two nights were tough due to the people next door having “spirited” conversations all night. Would I return? Absolutely! The property is well maintained and the views are stunning!!!

Great location with pool and quiet beach near by. The food is delicious with plenty of choices. Breakfast can be busy in the hotel and there might be some wait time before you are sitted. On two separate days I was able to spot dolphins in the bay water which was incredible. Best view ever! Our room was on sixth floor, nice room with view towards the bay. The room was cleaned daily with good service. The stuff in the hotel are very friendly and over Christmas had lots of activities for kids, cookies and hot chocolate.
