The location was good. But the entire experience was extremely poor. It started with booking. There was not an exact description of what we were booking. We trusted that since it was a boutique hotel, we would be getting something nice and quaint. We also did not receive a email confirmation stating what we have booked, the dates or a receipt of booking. Which I thought odd, but we went forth. When we arrived it was a nice room and all but no bed. It was an IKEA couch with a pullout section to make a “full size” bed. When pulled out it was not at full size. My husband is 6’4” and was in fact longer than the length of the sofa. We immediately called the contact information and asked for another room. They said the description was in the booking and we said it absolutely was not, there is no way we would book a stay to sleep on a couch. We asked for money back and they (a young sounding lady) said management would be in contact. They never were that evening. We ended up staying at another hotel in Clearwater for the night. Drive back down to Madeira to collect our things. It was raining and we were on a motorcycle so we were about 20 minutes past checkout and were already locked out of the room. We called to have access granted and it took the 30 minutes to respond and unlock so we could retrieve our stuff and change into dry clothes. We told them we didn’t stay and that we wanted a full refund and again they said management would be in contact. Management never called. Even after several calls, texts and emails. In addition to no bed, no contact with “management “, and no refund, we were charged a $500 cleaning deposit after stay. This hotel got us for a total of almost $1,000 and we didn’t even stay there. We also never received an exit statement or itemized receipt of our stay and charges like all hotels do. When we tried to rebook to make sure we didn’t miss anything on our part there were NO available dates for the foreseeable future. The hotel was not available to book. We contacted our bank and reported scam. We did get our $500 deposit back, the bank credited back our room stay. Be wary when you don’t get proper booking info, proper booking confirmation!

Nice small quiet quaint place to stay. Very very clean which we love. Very close and convenient to everything. Beach was steps away! We will definitely stay again!

Adorable little hideaway for me and my husband! Tamas and Hannah were wonderful to work with and made sure we were comfortable and settled. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach, the free beach chairs, the quiet and quaintness of the cottages, and the walkability to restaurants and John’s Pass. We had everything we needed in the cottage and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! It was super clean, well organized and just perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for. We will be back!

We had an unfortunate dealing with vrbo that had left us without a place to stay when we found this hidden gem. The rooms were immaculately clean, the location was prefect a few steps from the beach and a very short walk to the boardwalk but just far enough away that the nightly noise wasn't an issue. The pool area is also very nice and cozy. I hate to give this place the rating it deserves because I'm afraid the next time we visit it may very well be to booked up.

Lovely place very clean, decorated nicely. People staying there were very friendly and helpful. I do think it was way over priced. Grew up here and stayed in many wonderful places that provided all kitchen items and more than one roll of toilet paper and a normal kitchen garbage can with at least 2 garbage bags. Had to unload the dishwasher upon arrival - strange. No kitchen towels so had to use paper towels and only had one roll. Air conditioning was not very cool due to the limit on it. Parking is not good if you have something other than a compact car - very close.

This was a last minute long weekend getaway and it was absolutely amazing. This place is perfect for Getaway... the cottage was so neat, cozy, and well maintained. The beach is right out the back door, and the pool was great. Just the fact that there only 6 cottages, felt like it was a private resort. Looking forward for another getaway with friends and to reserve a few cottages.

Here I am again this year, just like I promised... It is still the best relaxing, private place to stay on Madeira beach... Room was clean, plenty of beach towels, that they provide, plus chairs and umbrella...I had a few friends come to visit and they also said it was lovely. It's a gated property with an inviting clean private pool. Full size kitchen, with full size refrigerator and plenty of closet space. Many of my favorite restaurants were opened and within walking distance. Staff/owners are so sweet and very helpful. The beach is clean and right behind us...lovely and peaceful, not a large crowd at all...I will be coming back next year with my friends and getting an even bigger room... ?
