Surf Beach Resort receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location and amenities while others report significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. Recent reviews highlight concerns about outdated facilities, pest infestations, and unresolved damage from recent hurricanes.
The resort was dated but still nice. The lady at the front desk was rude when we let her know that the hot tub wasn't working. She was also rude to the kids that were in our group because they were cutting through the pool to the beach but forgot the code.
Beach side with a foot wash. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Parking is a little tight and the pool isnt as large as it looks. Has all of the amenities you would need and a location close to a lot of attractions. Enjoy coffee while watching the ocean and the people passing by. Room 201which is managed seperate from the rest.
This resort was magical. I love that it was quiet. The rooms are huge and super clean. Great storage and full kitchen. We didn't use it however as we ate out every night! The beach is breathtaking and it is a little jaunt to get to it but nothing major. Loved looking for shells on the beach. The entire town is little shops. Everyone is riding bikes or walking everywhere. You need comfy shoes for sure. This part of Florida is literally a little well kept secret. We were happy to not have gone during spring break, so it was very quiet and super relaxing. Can't wait to come back!!
Nice location right on the gulf. Every room has a water view and an assigned parking place. Each room has a balcony with table and chairs. Our unit was a two bedroom two bath with a full kitchen and washer and dryer and cable TV. The room was nice and clean, but the furniture is a bit worn and could use updating. If needed, there is also a sofa/bed. There is a nice pool and a hot tub. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. A short walk through the pool area and you are on the beach! The staff is very helpful and professional.
Heated pool and hot tub were excellent, rooms were adequate with all necessary amenities. The bedroom had a slight body odor smell which was strange because all the linens were fresh. Balcony was perfect for sunsets and lunch.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. My kids hair turned green, and my son now has chemical burns from the pool(so now he’s unable to go in any sort of water for the remainder of our trip. What an bummer for an FOUR year old who doesn’t understand what’s happening.) Our room has had a ton of issues, that they’ve tried to fix. But the customer service is lacking. They’re also dredging the sand back to the beach so there’s a large generator running 24/7 directly in front of the resort. SUPER DISAPPOINTED!!!
Loved, loved, has no idea about complaint, maybe dependent what kind mien ,this is little old,but very clean, and room like you're home. The office lady she so cute and respansyble.Thank you)
I spent a wonderful weekend here. The rooms were clean and very enjoyable with all the amenities. They maintained the pool and hot tub on a regular basis. And the views are spectacular. The beaches our walking distance from the hotel with very nice.vailability. Access to boat rental and jet skis right across the street. Restaurants were delicious and in walking distance. There's a wonderful path right behind the hotel which gives access. Get into nice walks bicycles, or jogging. I highly recommend it.
Stayed here may 27th - June 4th. This place is great. The only downside I had was drunk loud people downstairs at the pool at midnight. Parking is tight. Makes sense for a place built in the 50s. Great atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.
Every room has a view and well appointed. The staff and maintenance are helpful but this is not a full service place Location is quiet and located nicely on the beach, and near local attractions.
