The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa receives generally positive reviews, particularly praising its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, concerns have been raised regarding occasional issues with pool overcrowding, slow elevators, and inconsistent room experiences, including issues with balcony furnishings and bedding comfort. Recent reviews highlight improvements in service and overall experience.
I will definitely not return we got the terrace suite paid almost 2000 for 2 night whatever we needed it. But we checked in that night walked around alittle. We thought we would have the night of our life... Two 40 year old parents on vacation on a roof top terrace (without children!) We got ourselves a prerolled totally legal thc-a we found at a little shop along the walk. We had a drink and smoked it that night... the next morning we ordered room service had breakfast and went walking not even an hour later the hotel called said they smelled Marijuana and went into our room with security (nothing was smoked in the morning) when we were not there and said they seen drug paraphernalia (the pre roll butt and a lighter on the outside terrace.) They went through my bags my purse was on the bed opened up they pretty much labeled us "druggies" I am so disappointed and feel profiled for being an interracial couple. We are successful and intelligent but this place made me feel otherwise. Ontop of it all this...This trip was taken to get away from the place i lost my dad after a 8 month battle with lung cancer so yeah definitely not needed... we travel ALOT and have never been treated like this... also a suggestion is to have the person renting out the room present if you feel the need to search... I feel completely violated!
Had an amazing, relaxing getaway at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless with a beautiful, private balcony view. We spent time at the poolside Cantina for drinks and appetizers. The pool area and pool restaurant is nice, and you are right across the street from the ocean.
My husband and I stayed a week and enjoyed this hotel. It is in a good location but know there is a road (easy to cross) between hotel and beach rentals. Room was large with full fridge and micro and deck. Pool bar was great. Pool bathrooms needed attention. Shor restaurant and bar was good. Parking is in multi-story garage on site for a fee.
Lovely experience here ! Beautiful location and rooms and the staff could not have been nicer. Breakfast had not many vegan options but I was asked if I would like tofu, tempeh or avocado and then given a special plate. Really appreciate the effort! Highly recommend!
Moved room from the north side (level 8) as it was unseasonably cool. Got a pool side suite which was much better. Staff was very accommodating with the room change. Very roomy areas to sit in public areas/lobbies. Beach towels provided for pool or beach and 1/2 off cabana and beach chair rentals at the beach - a nice perk. Both rooms had a kitchen for us to make some of our own meals to accomodate our dietary restrictions. Not all rooms have full fridge & cooktop.
Been to this hotel twice with my family and it was always an amazing experience! Clean and spacious rooms and the hotel is veryconveniently located. The breakfast and dinner staff at the Shor (located onsite) are all amazing. Rob, James, and Lincoln are all great waiters who make the dining experience fantastic. A special shout-out to Eric Prefontaine, who made both our visits to the Hyatt Clearwater, amazing and unforgettable. If you’re in Clearwater, staying at the Hyatt is a no brainer !
Stayed for a week at the Clearwater Beach Hyatt and it was a great trip. We were there for work meetings, and the conference center was convenient and everything was in good working order - and a helpful staff. My room was very big with a kitchen and great views - great television as well. Very clean as well. I used the gym every morning and its VERY clean and well kept. Although its not large, had everything needed and there was never a large crowd so it worked out very well. The on site restaurant is great as well (did a separate review for that). Overall would recommend and would stay there again without hesitation.
Best customer service. Bryant (pictured below) was top notch...and everywhere...doing everything! He held doors, make sure my uncle kept a steady flow of hot coffee for breakfast, he remember by good allergies from two separate encounters. He stayed personable and friendly through every interaction and even allowed us to give feed back on some possible new drinks they would be offering in their Starbucks station on the second floor. The hotel was beautiful, great location and clearly well staffed. Thanks for a great stay
I don’t even know where to begin because we are still in awe of our trip here. We’ve visited the area plenty of times because we had family in Tampa years ago. I’ve always wanted to stay at the pink hotel and am a Hyatt loyalist! We came here to celebrate our son’s birthday and they really wow’ed us! We had guest of honor status so had the blessing of free parking and breakfast, which was a huge cost saver. We were greeted with complete hospitality by everyone at checkin, staff at the pool, housekeeping, and the restaurant staff. We were also upgraded to a kitchenette which was a bonus as we wanted to do a few cooked meals and a birthday cake for my son. James really made our breakfast special on my son’s bday too. We can’t wait to return, I’m already looking at booking for New Years next year. (Heads up that the pool renovation started on Jan 5-26th. Looks like it’ll be beautiful when it’s done!). The sunset view from the pool is 5 stars in itself!
Amazing stay! One of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. The dining was consistently good! We loved the food so much we ended up dining at SHOR (hotel’s restaurant) several times. Our room was spacious with gorgeous views! Thank you Hyatt!
