The Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront offers a prime location near attractions and events, with generally positive guest experiences focused on friendly staff and a convenient setting. However, reviews highlight concerns about dated rooms, cleanliness issues, and inconsistent service, particularly regarding parking and room readiness. Some guests found the hotel expensive relative to its condition.

So the view and the vibe of this hotel is incredible. And thats what I was here for. The view from the top floors were incredible. We took 1313 and could see a good view of the skyline. But I feel like the early numbers on that same side wpuld get more bay view. The food prices in the hotel were high, so I didnt go with any of it. But here's some things I learned that will make it easier for you. One, that thermostate is a liar. I had it on 63 degrees and still sweating at night. I did learn the last morning, you can increase the fan too. Too little too late. $45 a night parking? Valet only? Absolutely not. There is a garage directly behind Hilton called Camden, park there. In and out ability and its $15 for 24 hours. Theres a pathway across from a nail shop that makes for a quicker walk to the hotel. 3 min walk. Easy.

A delightful property in a great location, right in the middle of things, but relaxing nonetheless. The room is modern and spacious. Lots of great restaurants within an easy walk. A great view of the storied Al Lang Field, I believe the oldest MLB spring training site, tho it's no longer in use for spring training. My wife and I stayed here after completing the C2C bike ride. The hotel is right at the start of the C2C ride (this section is known as the Pinellas Trail), but we elected to start about 7 miles to the west, mainly due to the availability of free parking in quiet neighborhoods. Parking over 72 hrs in the central downtown area is impossible to find, tho I guess that, had I asked, the Hilton would have been happy to charge me $45/night, their valet rate (self-parking is not available). BTW, we parked in the nearby Sundial parking garage for the night we stayed at the Bayfront Hilton--at half of the Hilton rate! With some reluctance, I must add, that in this era of the disappearing $150/nite hotel room, the Bayfront Hilton isn't a bad deal!

I love this location and the hotel has everything you need. The bar food and drinks are good but pricey. MARISSA at the front desk is so nice and helpful. I’ve stayed here several times. Each time I’ve stayed the rooms have been clean but because the hotel is needing to be updated it can appear untidy. The beds are not memory foam so they aren’t great. The higher floors have great views. All of my stays have been somewhat quiet except for one visit during a music festival in downtown St Pete. Overall, it is a good value.

We stayed for new years, aniversary... the front desk people were super nice. The location was nice, close to everything. The room itself wasn't great... not very clean, had a weird smell like mildew. I have asthma and I couldn't breath the entire night. I just always thought all Hiltons were really nice...I guess not. We did have to pay $48 for parking for one night. Crazy!!

? 1 Star Review Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront – Dec 22–24, 2025 Our family booked this stay as a special Christmas trip with our 5-month-old son. Instead of hospitality and warmth, we spent two days dealing with cold water, false accusations, and a level of unprofessionalism I would never expect from Hilton. The hot water did not work multiple times. We couldn’t bathe our baby the first night, engineering “fixed” it the next morning, and it failed again that evening and the next day. Hot water isn’t a luxury when traveling with an infant. Then came the worst part. We were accused of smoking in our room and charged a $300 fee even though no one in our family smokes. When we questioned it, the Front Desk Director, Cynthia Dill, doubled down and told us: • “The system is never wrong.” • “It’s your word against the system.” We asked for someone to inspect the room so they could see for themselves, and instead we were told we needed to come downstairs. When we did, Cynthia continued to talk to us while chewing food, in front of our baby and my mother-in-law, on Christmas Eve. No empathy. No apology. Just attitude. Here’s the unbelievable part: We later learned the claim of smoking came from an internal email citing a timestamp of October 14, 2025 between 7:40–9:40 AM… months before we even arrived at the hotel. And even after they removed the charge, we received no apology for the false accusation and stress it caused our family. We were also charged $10 for a water bottle and $12 for ice cream, and a staff member acknowledged the pricing was “ridiculous” and a cash grab. Not a great sign for guest trust. The only bright spots were Krista at check-in and the attendant who brought up the pack-and-play. They actually cared. The rest felt like we were intruding on their day. We chose Hilton for peace of mind and a reliable family experience. Instead, we spent our holiday dealing with cold showers, accusations based on the wrong dates, and a manager implying we were lying. We are already escalating this to Hilton Corporate. No family deserves to be treated like that — especially at Christmas.

Location is awesome- very close to the Dali museum and a short walk to the pier/central ave. The staff is pretty chill/friendly. There is often a wait for the elevators, but the big problem is the carpeting in the rooms. It’s disgusting. There was random little papers and debris which made it seem like it had not been vacuumed but the feel of the rug on your feet is crusty. My feet were visibly dirty when I was barefoot in the room. I started putting on socks right after the shower and not taking them off. Also smells a like mildew. If cleanliness is paramount do yourself a favor skip this spot. If you’re in it for location, convenience and want a spot to crash after an event then it’ll do the trick!

This was beyond the realm of a horrible experience. In a 2 room suite, there was only one phone on the desk in the loving room.....its goes even more down hill from here. After a nice show at the Duke Energy Center followed by dinner at a local steak house, we called ot a night and hope to get some relaxing sleep only to get woken by partiers at 1 and the 2 am on the hallways. Next was the bathroom that was as dark as I have ever seen. They really need to hire a design consultant. Oh, and the joy of not having moree that one (yes, just one) towel in there. I called down to the desk and they were to have housekeeping rectify immediately. Well, 45 minutes later I called again and the desk clerk had to find towels and bring them himself. Finally showered we ordered some breakfast for room service. To my surprise they delivered the meals in plastic bags with the food in cardboard to-go boxes with plastic utensils. This is not what I amused to for room service to say the least. And yes, the food was cold! Fed up with the stay we could not wait to get checked out and go find a decent meal. Then the icing on the cake was house keeping showing up almost 2 hours after the request and wanted to know of we still wanted towels! Other than the ease of walking to the Center for the Arts, I fould no value whatsoever in staying at the Hilton. Probobaly the worst Hilton ever in 40 + years of traveling.

If I could give zero stars for service, I absolutely would. My travels through Florida were fantastic until I checked into the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront. I encountered the rudest receptionist I've ever met, and it’s clear this is not an isolated incident—others before me left because of her attitude. If you’re planning to stay in St. Petersburg, I strongly advise against choosing the Hilton. There are plenty of better options nearby that will ensure a much more pleasant experience. Relay to owner: Thank you for your response, but simply investigating is not enough. I am requesting accountability and a resolution. I was staying from 24th to 25th of November under the name Dedi Bar (confirmation #3366171235). The incident involved one of the two front desk staff working during the evening shift on 24th. I specifically refer to the Caucasian staff member who was on duty at the time. While I appreciate the management responding to reviews, a generic reply does not address the terrible experience I had. I expect to be reimbursed for this unacceptable service. I look forward to hearing from a manager regarding a concrete form of accountability, not just another automated reply.

Please note that was no in-room coffee or tea provided, and no complimentary coffee is available on the premises for early risers. Guests must wait until the on-site Starbucks opens to purchase coffee, which is expensive. For added convenience, it may be advisable to bring your own coffee maker. UPDATE: They brought a mini coffee maker and coffee upon request. Also recommend unloading your vehicle at the main entrance before parking, as the alternative involves carrying your luggage around the corner, which can be physically taxing. For parking, guests have the option of using a nearby public garage for approximately $10 per day, as the hotel's valet service is priced at $45 per night before gratuity. UPDATE: Park in the garage directly behind the hotel. Once you have your room key you can use the pool gate to get to and from your car safely and easily. KEEP ONE KEY so when you check-out and leave so you are not LOCKED OUT of the pool area. When I came down at 6am to check out they said "I would have to wait appox. 30 min to check out till they were done running reports." Then I asked if they could let me in the pool area to walk my luggage to my car and they said "no they already threw my key away."

We visited for two nights arriving Friday October 2-5 and it was a great Hilton stay. Marissa was our front desk agent who checked us in & out. She was wonderful! THe entire staff and all we met were helpful and friendly. The breakfast Buffet was terrific and it had a great omelet station too. The location is fantastic! We rode the trolly to the Pier and CT was our driver and tour guide. All great! Thank you all!
