Guests praise this property for its newly renovated, beach-accessible rooms and friendly staff, including excellent service from workers like Ronnie. However, the property has a troubled history characterized by indifferent management, concerning health and safety policies regarding water usage, and significant issues with guest refunds and deposits.
Absolutely deserving of a zero or negative review. We arrived at 8:30pm for a two night stay. This morning we were informed by Waffle House that this area is under a boil water mandate since 2/11. Since our arrival, we showered, brushed our teeth twice and fed tap water to our dog. AT NO TIME were we ever informed of the mandate. When I approached the Manager Kim Patel, she argued with me, stated it’s not her problem and stated nobody drinks the water here. She was extremely rude and had zero intention of refunding our second night. Expedia was able to get the second night refunded. This is not about the money. Bayside Inn made zero effort to inform guests, putting my family’s health at risk. There were also other guests consuming water and ice that were unaware. I have filed a formal complaint with the Department of Health and DEP.
So cringe! Rooms are dated and musty. The beds were uncomfortable and had loud creaky metal frames that screamed everyone someone moved throughout the night. They only provided 2tiny cheap pillows and sheet thin blankets. Window in the bathroom with no blinds or curtains. The office people are extremely rude. And parked their personal vehicles in the front pull thru, making check in and parking in the already small lot extremely difficult. They charged me an extra $25 for my daughter (who was supposed to stay free per our booking reservation). The office is locked at 9pm- so good luck if you have any issues after that. We came back from dinner around 915pm and the room keys did not work (again). When I went to the office,it was locked so I called the number on the door. They answered, obviously irritated that I wanted access to my room. The room keys had to be reset twice and they gave me attitude when I asked them to fix the issue. The pool is too small for more than2 people. The whole thing needs work.it was just not a good experience. St petes is gorgeous but I'll definitely find a new spot when I come back to the area. I definitely would not recommend this place.
The owners were super accommodating and simply lovely, The rooms looked newly renovated, they had their work cut out for them after hurricane Milton, they did a fantastic job! The pool is heated and as we visited in January, this was a godsend after going in the Gulf hours prior to using the pool. Next time we using the boat rentals they have in the back at the marina, and there will definitely be a next time!
We checked in a little late, but there were no problems, this is a quiet, clean, cute, vintage option right across the street, walking distance to Treasure Island Beach. The owners and staff were phenomenally friendly. There was a kitchenette in the room fully stocked with dishes, large closet, the rooms were clearly newly renovated since Milton blew through. The wife enjoyed the heated pool, we both enjoyed the picnic tables at their marina. Well be booking again soon!
My husband and I drove over 22hrs to Treasure Island to this hotel and when we got there, the hotel manager was nowhere to be found to let us in. She knew we had a 3pm check in time and she was late to show up to let us get our room key. She was apologetic about it but also after driving 22hrs, you just want to rest. At first glance it looked like a great hotel. Then, I found long black hairs all over the kitchen and bathroom towels, there was absolutely no hot water for the room and we had a big termite infestation in our room. Not to mention, we had stayed there for three nights with a baby and we needed more towels for showering. When my husband went to ask for more towels, she was extremely rude and told us she had given us enough for three nights. Not the case when you’re going to the beach and need to shower and just want extra towels. The paper in the room specifically states “TOWELS CAN BE REPLACED DAILY IF NEEDED” and that was apparently too much to ask for. The female hotel manager was nice on the first day and then acted like we were a huge inconvenience the rest of the time. It is a great location for the hotel, but the service is below sub par.
Very nice newly renovated rooms with a kitchen and a full closet. The woman that checked me in was extremely nice and helpful. The marina is right behind the hotel with picknick tables to sit at and the beach is right across the street. Absolutely recommend staying here. ???
Newly renovated rooms with kitchen were clean and very nice! Marina in the back and directly across the street from the beach!
These guys are awesome!! I had stayed there on a weekend fishing trip and the room were just about spotless! They also let me fish out back from their Marina all day and Late onto the night, the fishing is better there than at the Skyway... 100% Recommend for a nice weekend out! I would have stayed longer if I didn't have work on Monday!
The rooms are renovated and clean. We stayed in the king bed suite which had a kitchenette. We only stayed one night but this room would be good for a couple of nights. We have an infant and a small dog so it's difficult to find a nice and affordable place. This was only $50 extra for the dog and $21 extra for a first floor king studio. Even with the extras, the cost was still cheaper than other hotels. The pool is still being renovated and not in use. I do wish they advertised that but since we went for 1 night it was no big deal. There's a broom in the room which was super convenient to help with sand after the beach! The beach is accessible right across the street. We also walked to BRGR, a gift shop and other restaurants. Locations was good.
Absolutely the best! The owner was so accommodating. They have been working hard since the hurricane to fix everything and this place was beyond my expectations. The room we stayed in was basically brand new. New shower, kitchenette, floors and bathroom were spotless. They are still working on the damage to the pool but with easy access to the beach, it was fine. Also, short walk to the waffle house. Price was very reasonable. These are wonderful people who have worked very hard to restore their motel. Give them a shot and stay there. You won't be disappointed. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.
