The Residence Inn by Marriott St. Petersburg Treasure Island consistently receives positive reviews, primarily due to its excellent location on the beach, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. While some guests note minor issues like slow check-in and small pool areas, many highlight the spacious suites, balcony views, and convenient access to local amenities and attractions. Recent renovations and attentive service contribute to an overall positive guest experience.
Great hotel and location. Special commendation to Herbby who handles the breakfast area. Herbby is attentive, kind, upbeat, professional and made sure we had all we needed. Herbby was a great start to our day!
The check in was slow - not focused and managed not to get our keys set right the first time so had to make the trek back to wait in the painfully slow check in line to get the keys fixed. Other than that - great hotel with a great location. Staff was friendly even if not efficient.
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the area. The room was great. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom and it was really nice. All the balconies have oceanview. The room was spotless the showers were very clean. Even the balcony was clean. All outside areas we saw were clean and housekeeping was always somewhere working. Great beach area. You do have to rent the cabanas or chairs and umbrella they are not owned by the hotel. They only charge $20 for parking and its very close so we'll worth it. They do not have Valet and it isnt needed. We never had trouble with finding a parking place and they were sold out. The only things that need attention is the elevators there are only two and they take forever and are super slow. The pool is very small. I would recommend trimming the walkway to the beach. There are stickers and they hurt. The only other thing that was awkward was on the end of the building rooms you could see people on their balconies so they aren't very private. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Just so you no I never give 5 stars but this was well worth it.
The Residence Inn has a great location. We walked on the beach boardwalk to Sloppy Jo's Restaurant from the hotel (about 1/2 mile). The hotel adds a charge for parking, but that is typical for this area. The rooms were old looking, but clean & equipped with a small kitchen and a balcony. They do have wi-fi. The pool area and hot tub areas are very small. The hotel does offer a complimentary breakfast too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the location.
This hotel is fabulous. I had the two bedroom suite. It was very nice, spacious and super clean. Better than I was expecting. The balcony beach view is awesome. Breakfast was good. Parking is easy. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Easy short walk to the beach. I’ll definitely be staying here again.
The rooms were very nice. We had a 2 bedroom suite that had a balcony facing the ocean. The staff was super friendly. The bar is open most of the day. We definately enjoyed our stay and the location was nice with easy beach access and close to John's pass.
Can't beat the location on the beach on Treasure Island. Great view of the gulf and the lovely sunsets. Room was a 1 bedroom with living area and kitchenet. Very comfortable, clean, great shower and hot breakfast was included.
Great views on the south end. Suites with Kitchens have adequate space. Rooms were clean and supplied. Was a great weekend for Sand Ovations event. Suggest long weekend on those dates. Distance is short to restaurants and events.
Overall great experience. Only issue i had was teenagers or idiot adults jiggling my door handle purposefully setting my dogs off. Staff didn't seem to care, but was more concerned about calling and advising of the issue. Someone was smoking pot, on the property called down to advise. Was told security or maintenance would make rounds, but no one ever did. Overall the hotel was clean, most staff friendly, and good breakfast. Bar prices were higher then I would expect them to be. Would stay here again
Fantastic location! We had a two bedroom two bath suite with a full kitchen. It was clean and super spacious with a balcony facing southwest. We are local to the Tampa Bay area, but came over to attend the sanding ovations event. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast was hot with coffee being available a little bit before the start time which was awesome. This is a dog friendly hotel but we did not bring our dogs this time, but would consider it in the future. It’s close to Johns pass where we had dinner and watched a beautiful sunset. Marriott never disappoints me! I am sure that we will be back.
