The Quality Inn & Suites Tarpon Springs receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its friendly staff, convenient location near attractions like the Pinellas Trail and Rick’s Pizza, and comfortable rooms and pool. However, recurring concerns include issues with room cleanliness, outdated furnishings, spotty Wi-Fi, thin walls leading to noise, and inconsistent breakfast quality. Recent reviews indicate a generally positive experience, but persistent problems remain.
I'll start with the good. Friendly staff, decent location. Now the bad Our bed had a used band aid in it. The toilet has a slow leak on to the floor. The closet door will not close. Hard to turn out during busy times like rush hour Breakfast is super limited even for Continental. Furniture and everything is super outdated, normally don't care about that but even the lamps look like they are rusting. The Wi-Fi is spotty at best. I have to keep reconnecting several times during our trip, it just drops from Wi-Fi for no reason
Nice hotel, clean, spacious, a lil outdated in design but for all the RIGHT reasons! Has an old fashioned art deco charm with modern touches. Breakfast Staff person Mary was delightful!! A positive, helpful, bright ray of sunshine that kept the morn’g breakfast area stocked and clean! Would stay at hotel again and highly recommend!
Beyond 5 Stars! After riding 40 miles on the Pinellas Trail, this hotel was the perfect place to land. It’s incredibly close to the trail! Dave checked us in and was beyond awesome, making us feel right at home when we were exhausted. The room was clean and comfortable, and hitting the on-site bar and free breakfast was the best way to recover. Can’t recommend it enough for fellow cyclists!
The price was reasonable, the rooms were clean and staff were friendly and accommodating. There is 2 treasures to be found here and 1 is right behind called Ricks Italian restaurant and the food is truly New York style. Owner is fantastic! The 2nd is Hole in one doughnuts 1 mile up the road. The banana cream stuffed with a vanilla wafer topping is to good for words. This being said all the above mentioned made our stay very comfortable and will absolutely stay here again.
My partner and I stayed here on Thanksgiving weekend and it was ok! It's a good affordable location with a lot of shops around. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. Huge shoutout to Sabrina, the lady who works hard to tend the breakfast and main lobby. Breakfast items consists of waffles, yogurt, bagels and orange juice! plus any condiment needed. There's a laundry room, and soap is available for $1 at the front desk. The machines are available to use for $3 each. The walls are very VERY thin, so this might not be the place if you wanted peace and quiet. I could hear people walking in the creaky hallways and next door people's conversations. AC is really loud, but I personally enjoyed the white noise. Would stay again, but I'd request any other room besides the one we stayed, the floors were extremely uneven, and we kept tripping or losing balance.
?????????? Sabrina is absolutely outstanding! As a kitchen manager, she goes above and beyond every single day. Her energy is contagious, and her motivation inspires the whole team to give their best. She handles everything with professionalism and a positive attitude, making the kitchen run smoothly and efficiently. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and passionate about their work, and Sabrina truly sets the standard. Couldn’t ask for a better kitchen manager—she’s simply the best!
Place was actually real clean and the service was amazing. Glad I didn’t listen to the negative ratings. Clean, low priced, bar inside, pool and quiet. Just remember no proteins at breakfast only carbs (cereal, bagels, waffles and weak coffee). I wasn’t expecting a high end breakfast for the price of the room. 3 1/2 miles from the sponge docks. It is easy to get out on the highway not that big a deal. Rick’s pizza is right next door within walking distance (go behind the hotel and go up the steps) with a full bar, great hangout. Also full breakfast can be purchased from Johnny grits (has lattes and mimosas) next door to Rick’s pizza.
Love this place and this style hotel! This is 1970’s retro- they ain’t building ‘em like this anymore. Huge beautifully landscaped courtyard with pool. Our rooms was the size of two motel rooms, & had a fridge & microwave, & a balcony that overlooked the pool. Bed comfy. Friendly staff. Fair price. Nice breakfast area. Oh, and even a bar!
Great staff and the pool is amazing. I swam every morning of our stay and was able to do actual laps because the pool is at least 20 x 40’. The water was clean and the pool area and the rest of the hotel was well maintained. We were in a great location that opened right to the pool deck from our room. They did have a leak or something in our hallway that caused them to use some huge blowers to dry the carpet, but it just added white noise so it wasn’t a bother for us. Breakfast at the hotel is ALL carbs. So, plan on eating elsewhere if you want a more substantial and healthy meal to start the day. The only real complaint about our room was the bed was kind of lopsided. It felt like some very large and heavy people used the mattress and crushed the springs on the left side where their butt would go as they got on and off the bed. I would scoot to the right side to sleep and end up rolling into the depression on the left side in the night. It wasn’t very comfortable; it was lumpy. The front desk and housekeeping were super friendly and accommodating. There are restaurants all close by, it’s 5-10 minutes from the historic areas, and it’s very easy to find. We will definitely go back to this hotel whenever we visit Tarpon Springs.
The rooms were well taken care of but you could tell the place was older. They have a pool and outdoor places to sit outside your room. Smoking only in the parking lot and one designated area. Breakfast was waffles, yogurt, cereal and bagels, and apples. Prices were fair. Felt very safe. Never encountered any trouble. The cleaning staff was super friendly and went out of there way to accommodate us. They did an excellent job cleaning.
