Great location and modern rooms, however… The room wasn’t ready at check in. I called/messages 3 different times for firm pillows in the room - never delivered. Housekeeping didn’t come one day. The rooftop bar wasn’t open during posted hours. The gym was under construction, which is fine except the signage wasn’t updated and the gym was randomly in the parking garage. Overall not a well organized operation and a disappointing use of my points.

Not as nice as they make it seem , service was not that great , valet guys were awesome though , bar had no margarita mix !!! During a margarita special. Rooms were ok but needed attention to details for sure , a little dirty , stained comforter on bed and just needed some extra attention in corners and other areas were cleaning had been missed multiple times it seemed like, breakfast was offered same type of breakfast you get at Holiday Inn express but they wanted $20 a plate not paying $20 a plate for that , no hot tub only a pool overall not a good visit to this hotel.

RUN. ???? when they have a spinning promotional fun wheel at the front desk that should have been our sign to run. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The hotel itself feels like corporate greed disguised as “luxury.” The rooms are the size of a pillbox. The floors weren’t clean, the walls were covered in dust, and the corners had bugs and dirt everywhere. The doors were poorly made, and the sliding balcony door was literally falling apart. The screen was busted and the lining was peeling off. The “balcony” itself was barely 2 feet by 4 feet.. hardly usable. This place is glazed-over dirt sold as beachfront luxury. It is absolutely NOT worth $450–$500 per night. The mandatory valet is $39 per day, even though you can park yourself across the street for $10. The $20 breakfast was laughable!!!! basically a croissant and cold bacon. We skipped it (thank God) and went to Ocean Hai at Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach, where we had an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on the beach with unlimited drinks, far better value and quality. The gym is located on the top floor, so at 6 a.m. everyone gets to hear weights dropping when some finance bro starts his workout. Light bulbs were burned out throughout the property, and there were even visible wires hanging down. Overall, this place is overpriced, poorly maintained, and nowhere near the luxury experience it claims to offer. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. LARGE room, clean and location was perfect. Was able to walk anywhere from here and the beach is one block away. Expensive parking but the valet team was efficient.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to check in for a company work trip and had the most UNPLEASANT encounter with the front desk associate, Denasia (not sure if that’s how her name is spelt). Denasia was very unpleasant to me and when trying to check-in for my stay (it was a long travel day and I was exhausted). I was not aware nor did it state in the booking information that I would need to pay a $200 per day deposit. I’ve never heard of this before. I understand an incidental charge that is refunded after your stay but never this. The front desk associate tried to argue with me about the daily charge and refused to show me the hotel policy where this is stated and told me that they wouldn’t allow me to stay there and to find a hotel up the street. NEVER in my life have I been treated like this by a guest service representative at any other Marriot property. I exclusively stay at Marriot’s for my corporate trips so this encounter has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will look elsewhere when booking if this is the kind of customer service that’s provided to loyal customers. NO THANK YOU!

We recently stayed at the AC Hotel in Clearwater for three nights. Overall, the stay was okay, nothing amazing, but not terrible either. The valet is $38 per day, but the valet staff were very friendly and helpful every time we pulled in or out. Check-in was smooth and easy, which I appreciated. Our room had a nice partial view of both the ocean and the bay, which was definitely a highlight. However, during our three-night stay the room was only cleaned once, which was disappointing. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows had no shape to them at all, which really affected our sleep. I was a little hesitant to book because of some of the negative Google reviews. While I don’t think the hotel was as bad as some people described, it still didn’t really “wow” me. The rooftop area was a nice touch and added to the overall vibe of the hotel, but overall I don’t think I’d stay here again, it was fine for what it was, but there are likely better options in the area.

I only gave it a 4 star just because you have to pay for parking. Its $35 but $45 if you have a truck. Thebstaff is awesome the rooms are clean and breakfast every morning from 6am to 11am. You can't park the car yourself and valet will need to do that for you. Also the lobby is on the 5th floor (which was weird for me). Overall great experience and great staff.

Target, Publix and chain restaurants are within a five mile drive. The beach and stores along it are less than .25 mile away. The entrance and hallways have a fresh and pleasant scent. The views from the room are nice to wake up to. A lobby on the 5th floor, and having to cross it for elevators to rooms, common area microwaves only, and valet only parking were the negatives for this location.

The hotel itself is very nice and well furnished, but my experience with the staff was frustrating. The front desk was rude regarding a late checkout. As a first-time traveler, I didn’t realize checkout was at 11 a.m., and although I was charged a fee—which I didn’t mind—it could have been handled without making it feel like such a big issue. If housekeeping was truly in a rush to clean the room, a simple phone call to my cell would have been appreciated instead of the approach taken. I also had to book an extra night and was told it would be the same room I already had, but upon arrival that was not the case, despite triple-checking with staff beforehand. In addition, food that we had briefly placed outside the door—only for a few seconds while we were putting our belongings away with our hands full—was thrown away by staff without any attempt to check with us first. While the hotel itself is nice, the staff needs improvement considering the price guests are paying. Additionally, the lack of onsite laundry is a major downside. Not coming back

Check in was great. Bar service was great. Thanks to Jeogia. My issue was the lack of competence on Shari. I called at 7:30 pm to see if I could secure a departure at 2pm being elite Marriott. She said she would call me back in an hour. No call. Got dressed and went downstairs over an hour later after no answer at the desk. (Was told by another employee that she tends to wander). Shari was called to front desk and told me she left a message on my room phone. No one called and they have 1970s phone with no voice message alert. Asked if the manager was around. On vacation. Not trying to make this a major issue, but when you say you will call me back and your phone doesn’t leave a message or you don’t. Problem. And first time I bought my older dog with me and had to leave her to figure out something that could have been done over the phone. Better places to stay. This was a staycation. Won’t recommend Evening front desk service is like Motel 6
